Can anyone please help me find this particular taekook fic? I don't remember much except that Tae is kinda like a uni student and he met Kook at some convenience store, I guess, at night. Jungkook took a liking at him but Tae was a bit embarassed because he only wore his pajamas at that time.

I'm sorry I can't remember anything else. Jungkook may or may not be a gang member, I think? And I'm fairly sure I read that on AO3. I've tried anything I can think of but there's seem to be very little luck. If anyone can help me it'll be very great.

Hi everyone! I've been trying to find a taekook fic I read on ao3. I don't remember the title and the author. The plot was something like this:

Everyone except for Jungkook are in a band and somehow Jk finds them and Taehyung sort of takes him in. He convinces the rest of the members to allow him to stay. Jk is some kind of criminal - or at least he is in trouble and running away from something ( I don't remember exactly).

Random scenes I remember:

At some point I think they all sit in the living room watching tv.

At some point Jk leaves the house without telling tae and then returns ( I think because somebody beat him up).

I'm pretty sure that at the end of the fic he gets kidnapped and tae finds him (not sure if that was on the same fic or not though :P)

I get a lot of videos recommended to me on YT about this ship. Especially those “analysis” videos, and all I can think is “do these people not have friends or something?”. Their behavior is that of two best friends or brothers. In the comments of the videos there are a bunch of armies trying to theorize some deeper meaning behind Taes iconic “get out of your imagination”-line, saying shit like “Oh he just said it so they can act like a couple more freely without people suspecting them”. Some of them even go as far as to say they got married because they both wore rings💀 (gay marriage isn’t legal in Korea btw). It honestly pisses me off that no matter how hard Tae and Jk (as well as the company) tries to make them stop, like not sitting next to each other, not taking selcas together or just telling them to stop, they never do. Imagine how uncomfortable it must feel to have your fans try to push the idea that your dating someone you consider your brother ... also, the shippers who post full smut fanfics under their Twitter posts, I hope you get chronic diarrhea.

Recently, there were some posts and comments about shipping and Taekook specifically, that stated, that they don’t understand shippers action at all. I want to give some possible insights into that. I will add some disclaimer on the end of this post, because I want to avoid misunderstanding. This is a long post, but please read it, before you comment.

For some time now I have been following the thesis, that Taekook is a conspiracy theory. It was my research on QAnon that gave me the idea. By Taekook, I don't mean the unit of Taehyung and Jungkook, but the fictional couple that delusional shippers construct. It has almost nothing to do with the real people. No one knows whether they are really dating, and in fact it is absolutely irrelevant, because the narratives we are going to look at are made up by fans.

So instead, I want to look at why these Taekook shippers are so firmly convinced that their ship is real, where these ideas come from, how they are spread as a narrative, why the negative portrayal of Taehyung, Jungkook and Jimin take up so much space and why people are so emotionally attached to this fiction.

What is a conspiracy theory?

Conspiracy theories are defined as explanations and narratives in which a person’s/groups perceived as powerful influence things in the world to deliberately harm others, while keeping them in the dark about their real goals. In that sense conspiracy theories are heterodox constructions of reality. These theories are not theories in a scientific sense, because they lack falsifiability and verifiability. Still, participants feel the need to “proof” their theories by assembling hidden connection between publicly known information. Those connections are often based on the exclusion of coincidence as a factor, while only making sense if the initial hypothesis already is, that they are right. People who believe in this conspiracy theories get a feeling of empowerment, because they are part of an elusive elite, that knows the truth. Especially in times of (personal) crisis, conspiracy theories offer simplified explanation for complex matters and help people with the feeling of hopelessness and lack of control about their life. In all cases, there is a distinction between Good and Evil, where the conspiracy theorists are actually the good guys standing up against the evil. That’s part of the reasons, why some c

Things I remember:

• all 7 members were in the fic and were part of some secret organization/gang/mafia (i think)

• there was some sort of tradition so that at a certain age the organization would electrocute their brains so they wouldn’t have any emotion

• They all wore different species of bird as masks to protect their identity. One wore a magpie mask. One wore an owl mask. And I distinctly remember that either Tae or Jungkook wore an obscure species of bird. I remember having to look it up because I didn’t know what it was at first.

• Taehyung has a tragic(?) background involving his identical twin brother being violently killed by another gang(?) possibly.

• Jungkook had previous engagements with Taehyung’s twin brother, so as he becomes more romantically engaged with Tae, it’s difficult to separate them from each other in his mind.

• There is a training dynamic between the two. I’m almost certain it’s Jungkook that’s training Tae because he recently joined the organization for some reason.

• One of them is shot in the end (I think Tae) but not fatally

• I was going through my old wattpad reads and there is a possibility that this is by the author onelasttae and was deleted so lmk if that rings a bell

I just discovered that and I was like... WHAAAT ?! I always thought that Jungkook real name was Taekook and that was why I saw so much videos with this title.

Can anyone recommend me taekook/ minsung fanfics based on real events like the actual story of their life but with them actually falling in love throughout their musical journey? I want all the real life moments that we assume to be true in the fic. Does anybody knows?

I feel so bad about this. But I wanted to open up this somewhere so just thought this sub could give me a positive advice regarding this.

So I have been an army for nearly 2 years but in this quarantine I got to make many army friends and we made a group chat. Every single person up there loves and ships taekook barring a few maybe..they constantly post these romantic edits of taekook with cheesy romantic lyrics and make situation edits of them being in a relationship etc.. I am not into shipping nor have I ever read or written fanfics so this all made me a little bit annoyed.

After a bit there was this discussion about the bangbangcon marathon back in april 2020...a girl told that she did not enjoy it at all due to the lack of taekook "contents". This made me irritated a lot than it should have...things got more irritating when I began to see stupid bt21 tiktok edits where chimmy and tata would be sitting together and cooky would be behind holding a knife..everyone thought it was so cute but I could not especially after the constant villainisation of jimin by these shippers on twt.

And then what if I watch a live of v or jk i would be constantly seeing comments such as where is tae or jk or worse such as "pls go marry jk or tae". In my twt too I was constantly exposed to these shipping accounts and it really made me sick...I even tried to tell this in the group chat but was shut down as a borderline homophobe...I swear I am not..

Now the group no longer exist and I have curated the tl and there is no shipping accounts in sight....but now whenever I see jk and tae together I feel extremely uncomfortable..I hated this..so I even tried to see some taekook compilation on utube (without reading the cmts ofc) but still I feel so uneasy.. 😭..I really don't want this to be the case...I dont want some random people in the internet ruin the way I see the members of my favorite group...I love them both just the same but it's just when they are together I feel kinda weird...I really really want to see them normally back!!!

Is there any way to change my mindset now?!

Kissforvantae had legit the best fic for the prof and student trope but unfortunately they deleted it. I believe there were two fics in total, both on twt and ao3 I have the epub version of the first fic (the main fic) but kissforvantae had a second one where they had written all of their drabbles for the prof au. Shippers please leave jungkook alone, I promise you he isn't the whipped, alpha dom who does everything for your bias that you think he is. He's a real person and not just someone to give you an ego boost regarding your particular bias. They'd drag jk down and use him as a puppet for their ships, like they don't even care bout the boys!
