A list of puns related to "Sydney Olympic Park"
Was a support person today and marvelled at how everyone we encountered, from defence force, to police, to volunteers, to nurses, were amazing humans.
It was pouring rain and freezing, and they stood in the cold calling out times, shepherding people, answering questions -one even offered us a poncho because the elderly person I was with wasnβt in a big coat.
You guys do amazing work and are wonderful humans.
Edit: I wanted to add that what struck me is that there was this great mix of all races and genders among everyone today.
The world isnβt as dark as the news or the internet presents it. I was a particularly proud of Sydney Siders and Australians today. The media needs to show this side more.
Hey everyone, I booked my Pfizer jab yesterday at Sydney Olympic park as I live in one of the LGAs and on the confirmation it says I will be getting priority worker jab even though I selected general public. I just want to know if anyone else had this problem as Iβm worried I will be turned away.
Thanks in advance.
Hi, I'm booked in for Pfizer at SOP next week. I'm 26, I booked through their website a few weeks ago, answered all questions honestly and it allowed me to book for Pfizer. I am hearing now that they are cracking down on eligibility - has anyone in a similar situation to me been to the SOP hub recently, and what was your experience? Thanks.

For those who don't have Facebook:
I got pfizer last night - 1.5 months earlier than my appointment! I waited at Homebush Vacc Hub at the end of the night for 'leftover' vaccine. Second night in a row that I've tried and tonight I was lucky. There were 40 spare doses and only 2 people turned up for spares. They do check if you're eligible and already have a booking, not sure if they're flexible on either. Make yourself known at the white tent on Australia Ave 8.30pm-8.45pm (not the help hub, that's closed by then). There was no wait time and I was in and out in 30min.
They usually know by 8.45-9pm whether they have spares. But fyi the night before I waited outside in 6 degree temps until 10pm only to be told there was no spare vacc. Apparently there'd been a big delay that day, so everything was running unusually late.
Anyway, if you're keen, keep your expectations low and bring warm clothes, you've got a chance to nab some vaccination that'd otherwise be disposed of.
Hope this info helps some people.
Don't know where else to say this but thank you so much to the legend who gave me a jump start in insane traffic with insane heat on the Australia Ave exit to Olympic Park.
You sir are the best and I wish you nothing but good fortune and good health.
