-Steven starts out as the Xeno-Archaeologist Victor Kovacs, and chooses to know an an alien language. Not a modern one, no - a dead, alien language. Soon it becomes a reoccurring joke that knowing Ancient Shindelian will be vital to solving the problem the group is facing.
-One of the very first facts the group discovers about Andoni is that it became isolationist after something was discovered on the planet.
-The party discovers an ancient AI that has been heavily braked-PI, and frees it.
-Victor dies.
-The War mind speaks bizarre language Sicarian and Prosper can't understand beforeIt processes English, and fulfills it's original goal: destroying Andoni.
-As Prosper tries to help PI, he discovers that PI, and thus the War-mind, were built before 1100AD. Thus they could not be human-made AI. Since Prosper can't read the language the code is written in, he is unable to help PI any further at the moment.
-The Warmind is from Andoni, and PI was found while the party was on a mission from an Andonian corporation: Ximenez shipyards. Victor Kovacs is also from Andoni.
-Conclusion: In a bizarre twist of fate, having someone who knows ancient Shindelian might have been very important after all..

Yup. We're playing Ghosts of Saltmarsh, and she wants to be a halfling ranger (with a thick mustache) and use the new "Shipwright" background for prof. in carpentry tools. The more we talked about her concept, the more it made sense - her character hating big government fits perfectly into the Saltmarsh political landscape (With her being a Traditionalist who wants things to stay the same vs. Loyalists who want to realize the Crown's vision). Being a carpenter/shipwright working for the town also makes sense. And, when she hits level 3, she wants to use the Revised Ranger beastmaster rules and re-flavor a mule as a "tiny horse" named Lil Sebastian. Oh, and we're likely going to re-flavor Goodberry to be slices of bacon she mysteriously has at all times.
I've never been more proud, and I am absolutely going to find a way to slip a librarian named Tammy into the campaign.
I really hope Afterburner is cohesive and flows like Mothership. Artificial Selection just feels like a bunch of singles put together (Will Swan even said that was the point).

Whiplash and Black Swan

These are two of my favorite movies, Black Swan especially I always love more and more. Now especially around the middle of the movies they start to differ more, but there are so many similarities that make it really interesting to compare the two. As far as internal look at self destruction I think Black Swan definitely succeeds more, and that’s because I think it tries to. To me Whiplash is definitely more ambiguous with it’s ending, personally I do see it as a happy ending which I know a lot of people don’t. Maybe it’s the music student in me that shifts my view, but I’ve never seen the look in Andrew’s dad’s eyes as anything negative. Black Swan is much more cynical to me in that way, the way Nina’s mother is written clearly shows that throughout the whole movie with her concern for Nina. The relationship with Miles, drumming, and his father makes it a redemption story and a happy ending at that. I’m interested to see if anyone shares my view because as far as I know most people disagree with me.

Today for my mom’s birthday I surprised her with a crystal swan. Years ago she had a pair of swans that I accidentally broke and I never forgot how sad that made her. She would sometimes mention those broken swans so I made it my mission to find her something similar. Her expression says it all 😊
Black Swan and ON were both meant to be title tracks
RM said in an interview that BTS were originally going to release three albums, MOTS Persona, Shadow and Ego. They then decided to combine the last two into one.
I think Black Swan was meant to be the title track for MOTS Shadow and ON was supposed to be the title track for MOTS Ego. That’s why MOTS 7 feels a little disjointed and messy. There’s no cohesive theme to the album because they tried to combine two different themes. The album is sending two different messages.
I also think that the ON MV and the new Black Swan MV don’t really tie together but the Black Swan MV ties in so well with the concept photos and stuff they released before the comeback.
