Susan E. Wagner High School Puns

I attended summer school for the first time at Susan E Wagner high school on Staten Island. I was a freshman and for my last class I had gym most days I just sat on the floor not talking to anyone because I was shy and knew no one. I noticed Eric a few times he was chubby and cute and funny I specifically remember a joke he had made about cup noodles and it was pretty funny. So anyway we were watching super size me and I was sitting next to him and I noticed him drawing and it turns out he is a super good artist. I draw to but nothing like him. So at the end of class he turned to me out of nowhere and said " hey weird question but do you wanna wait for the bus with me after school me and my friends go to this cool deli down the block?". And I think I died and came back to life cause my brain was racing like that episode of sponge Bob where they were burning all the files on his head. My heart started jumping out of my chest. So he was waiting for an answer when the teacher asked him to pick up a pencil and as he bent down for the pencil I walked/ran out the door.

So the next few days after that I skipped my second to afraid to face him. I wanted to apologize or give an explanation but I didn't know what to say that was the first time something like that ever happened to me. Then when I would show up to class I would see him waiting at the door with his friend that I knew from my art class during the year and he would leave to skip after I showed up. I don't know for sure if it had anything to do with me but I feel horrible. This was back in like 2016/2017 I'm not sure. I would see him around school during the year and always wanted to approach him but was to afraid. Then I had another class with him in my junior year it was graphic design by that time I think he had a girlfriend and that made me happy. But anyway to Eric I'm so sorry for leaving that day and never clearing the air afterwards. I have a hard time with new people you were the first person to ever ask me to hangout with them. It was nothing against you I thought you were super cute, funny, and really talented. I hope you see this and I hope life is going well for you. :)

I'm an NYC employee and received my 2nd dose (Moderna). No issues - very quick and efficient. The FDNY staff who worked there asked me which agency I work for and I told them (I'm non-uniform). They shouted "regular" to the paramedic who administered the shot. I had a co-worker of mine go through the same process. I'm assuming "regular" means non-uniform.

Do unfirmed employees get the Pfizer vaccine? Any reason for the distinction? Just curious.

Anyone have any clarity in regard to the incidents at Wagner High School yesterday? I'm not seeing it on any news sites but citizen is reporting shootings yesterday and today and theres cops ALL OVER my neighborhood right now.

I teach a half-year starts course for 12th-graders. The class is open to all students but I aim for it to be slightly easier than a typical grade-level course. Most students take it after algebra 2 as an alternative to precalculus. Lately I've been thinking about my curriculum and what to prioritize given our limited time. I've included the sequence of topics I cover below.

I'm curious to hear people's suggestions about what to change if anything. My main concern is that the other teachers in my department have mentioned that they never have time to cover any probability. So I'm wondering if I should prioritize a unit on basic probability rules over one of my existing units - my first thought that it would replace either most of unit 1 or unit 4. Thoughts?
