A list of puns related to "Super Dome"
Does anyone know the COVID requirements at the Super Dome? I have some family that want to go but the website isnβt very clear.
This means yes, the Saints are officially a dumpster fire.
I'm a Dolphins fan who comes in piece. Me and my family were thinking about going to the Dolphins/Saints game for Christmas, and I just wanted to know what I could be getting myself into. This would be my first time actually being able to go to an NFL game, but I've heard all the terrible experiences with fan on fan violence and the like, and wanted to know if that's something that I should expect going to a Saints game as an away fan. Thank you all for the help, and hope you all have a great season especially against the Pats, Bills, and Jets!
With the Saints being the last Dome team to exit the playoffs, I came to a realization. Dome teams have not had good luck in the post season as of late.
There has been a claim for many years now that βdome teamsβ are weaker and less resistant to bad or different weather.
This is mostly shown in the ending months of the season, and in the playoffs.
Today, I wanted to compile the stats of every Domed team ever to prove whether or not Dome teams are indeed βsoftβ.
Below is a list of teams who have played with a dome, when theyβve played with a dome, overall team division wins, and the furthest theyβve gotten in the playoffs as a dome team.
Arizona Cardinals: 2006-present. 3 Division Wins. 1 Super Bowl appearance. No wins
Atlanta Falcons: 1992-present. 5 Division Wins. 2 Super Bowl appearances. No wins.
Dallas Cowboys: 2009-Present (Texas stadium was designed to have a retractable roof but it never worked, so they were never truly a βdomeβ team). 4 Division Wins. No Super Bowl appearances. Have not made it past the divisional round since becoming a dome team.
Detroit Lions: 1975-Present. 3 Division Wins. No Super Bowl Appearances. Have made it no further than an NFC Championship once.
Houston Texans: 2002-Present. 5 Division Wins. No Super Bowl Appearances. Have made it no further than the divisional round.
Indianapolis Colts: 1984-Present. 11 Division Wins. 2 Super Bowl Appearances. One Super Bowl Win (XLI)
Las Vegas Raiders: 2020-Present. No Playoff Appearances.
Chargers: 2020-Present. No Playoff Appearances.
Los Angeles Rams: 1995-2015, 2020-Present. 2 Division Wins. 2 Super Bowl Appearances. One Super Bowl Win (XXXIV)
Minnesota Vikings: 1982-2013, 2016-Present. 8 Division Wins. 0 Super Bowl Appearances. Have made it no further than the NFC Championship.
New Orleans Saints: 1975-Present (because the Saints played the majority of the 2005 season in the Alamo Dome, I will not consider that a change unlike the Vikings). 9 Division Wins (4 coming in the last 4 years). 1 Super Bowl Appearance. One Super Bowl Win (XLIV)
Seattle Seahawks: 1976-1999. 2 Division Wins. No Super Bowl Appearances. Made no further than the AFC Championship.
Tennessee Titans (only played as a dome team as the Houston Oilers). 1966-1996. Counting AFL stats, 3 Division Wins, No Super Bowl Appearances, Made it no further than the AFC Championship.
In short, Including this year, Super Bowls have only been won by Domed Teams 3 times (5.454% or 3/55 of S
