Dunwich was allegedly not the inspiration for James' story but instead it is said to have been Felixstowe; however, the following study still provides us with fascinating insight into the harsh way the sea as taken the land through the ages, especially since Felixstowe was and still is as vulnerable to the force of the sea as Dunwich. Additionally, I think it is very possible that James at least visited Dunwich and may have been quite familiar with the history of the area. The archaeological and geographical aspects of this ghost story suggest as much, and both Felixstowe and Dunwich are bound to share a lot of the details this study explores:

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

I don't know if this is the right place but yo guys tend to be pretty chill and have answered my questions in the distant past.
Long story short I'm worried for the future of Britain. I will preface this as I always do with that I voted remain back in 2016 and was always very pro EU even being one of the few British loonies who wanted a United States of Europe in the future however I respected the referendum result and saw the 2019 GE as the 2nd referendum in all but name.
I was hopeful for the future and for the Global Britain that Boris promised. I quickly heard about CANZUK and it was the first time I've ever written to my MP (Suffolk coastal) abi6 anything before as I was very enamored with the idea and I still am.
However. Things haven't gone so well now have they. On the CANZUK front the trade deals are terribly one sided and hurt the UK more than help it.
Northern Ireland is a mess and Irish reunionification seems more likely than ever same with Scottish independence.
"Singapore on Themes" hasn't even begun and we the people of the UK are only getting worse and worse off. I'm worried that the UK will become little more then England as a satellite state to the EU and everything will have been for naught.
Is there some long term strategy I'm not seeing here or are we really just going to blame everything on COVID?
Help. I'm feeling very down about the future. I love this country and I love its history and people but wow things looks bleek right now.
TLDR : Brexit promises and ideas are not taking off and the UK is quickly getting a reputation for a deal breaking nation willing to sell its soul for a quick dollar with no plans or regard for the future.

1. To save costs and drydock space, the proposed refit of the battleship HMS Vanguard has been canceled. She will be placed back into the reserve fleet whilst she awaits disposal.
2. On the basis of practicality, the proposed refit to the three Minotaur class cruiser hulls has been canceled in favour of increasing the order of county class guided missile destroyers instead. An additional four vessels were purchased, to be laid down in 1961-62.
