A list of puns related to "Student Council Secretary"
Hereβs part 3 of my student council scenario poll, this time on the Secretary position. If you were a student at Garreg Mach and student council elections are happening, which one of these characters would get your vote for SC Secretary based on their personality, your likeability of them, or their level of competence in the role? (In this scenario, Cyrilβs in 1 of the houses)
And with a close, narrow lead, your votes have made it clear that Ashe will be the treasurer (if votes donβt swing to Leonie after tomorrow)
President - Ferdie
Vice-President
Treasurer - Ashe (Tentative)
Secretary
I really want to know the reason why did Shirogane choose Fujiwara as secretary of the Student Council in first year? Why didn't Shirogane invite Momo Ryuju instead of Fujiwara. After all, she did help Shirogane to get Shinomiya to join the Student Council.
Last month marked a depressing milestone in the dismantling of Hong Kongβs freedom and democracy by the Chinese government in the 2021 Hong Kong Legislative Council Elections β an election which saw its lowest-ever voter turnout as a result of the sweeping and controversial changes made to the electoral system by the Chinese government. Therefore, it has become abundantly clear of the erosion of democratic elements which exist in Hong Kongβs electoral system, within their political structures, and witnessed overall in their approach to human rights and their handling of political dissidents; actions which are threatening our shared vision to see Hong Kong succeed.
The βpatriots governing Hong Kongβ resolution which passed with the intent to further undermine democratic elements, drastically shrank the proportion of lawmakers of which could be directly voted in by the people; it also ensured candidates had to be vetted by a separate screening committee and gave seats to the Election Committee, a group which heavily skews pro-Beijing. The elections are the first since the passage of the National Security Law in which all of Hong Kongβs major opposition leaders are now in jail or in exile, paving the way for pro-Beijing candidates with unknown political experiences and backgrounds into positions of power.
This election has set a precedent infringing the concept and the sanctity of free and fair elections by stripping from the ballot box the democratic principles upon which they must rely. Not only this, but we share a growing central concern at the wider effect the National Security Law is having on the people of Hong Kong, especially with the restrictions in place over freedom of speech and assembly, all of which are being felt across civil society by human rights organisations, non-governmental organisations and trade unions unsupportive of the Chinese governmentβs agenda.
We must always stand firm against actions which impede democratic processes and address misleading statements in defence of undemocratic measures such as the ones made by Hong Kong officials, like Carrie Lam, purporting and equating low voter turnout in the elections to high government credibility and satisfaction with the current regime.
Above all, it is integral for us to protect space and ensure peaceful solutions to ensure the stability and prosperity of Hong Kong, and as such, we call upon the Government to undertake the following objectives in pursuit of this purpose:
We urge
