A list of puns related to "Stuart Semple"
Created a reddit account so I could share my Hero Forge stuff. I am pretty interested in paint mixing so a while ago when making a pure black void I decided to name it vantablack because I read about that online, and then I fell down a rabbit hole that ended in me making a lot of Stuart Semple's paints on Hero Forge. You can have them. Not sure how they would be useful but they are fun to make. here ya go

Hi Reddit, I'm Stuart a conceptual artist from the UK. I am known for being the first artist to share born digital work on iTunes, auctioning more than 3000 unique works via eBay by the time I was 21. I'm also known for my exploration and democratization of color including the creation of the Pinkest Pink and Blackest Black paints.
Iโve been making my work for decades and Iโve been lucky enough to share it all over the world. From my HappyClouds performances at museums, to art shows in major galleries, and public art projects. Iโm really passionate about access to art and opening it up for everyone. I believe the internet is the most democratic art space ever, which is why Iโve been experimenting with digital and web work since the late 90s. Iโm really into tech, spirituality, painting, art history and society. Iโm an ambassador for Mind (mental health charity here in the uk) and I love the way creativity can help with our mental wellness.
You can ask me anything you like but Iโm hoping we can have a good chat about my latest project - the World's most colorful color, LOVETONEยฎ. It represents the full capacity of the entire color spectrum -- composed of 16 million pixels representing all existing colors (no two pixels are alike). The result is a wholly unique new color: LOVETONEยฎ. It's impossible to see its entire scope with the naked eye, and fully visible only as digital art.
Having produced digital work for decades, Iโve wondered what it would be like to see all the available colors in the RGB color space at the same time, yet it would take many lifetimes to mix 16 million colors in my studio, so without digital art it would be totally impossible to do. I love the fact that itโs ended up being a color that you canโt see and, as an NFT, just one person will own it, yet in keeping with my work, everyone in the world will be able to see it for free and share it online. Itโs kind of like democratizing all the colors in one hit.
I love the online art community and I canโt wait to hang out with you all!! Donโt be shy really do ASK ME ANYTHING!

So, I'm a fan of Stuart Semple. He has made an art of pettiness that is unrivaled. His art supplies, found at Culturehustle, are as top notch as his pettiness when dealing with asshats in the art world.
That said, when I found out he was producing an ink, I was excited. The worlds blackest black ink. Well, I own some of his Black 3.0, the worlds blackest black paint, and it's more than a match for Vantablack. I had high hopes.
I can't say it's measured up, though. I mean, it's black, but in reality, I don't find it any blacker than Noodlers Dark Matter in real world use. And my pens really don't like it. In my TWSBI Diamond 580 stub nib, let itsit for 10 minutes with the cap on and I have to cycle the piston a little to get it to flow. With my Pilot Metro broad, my daily driver, setting it down cap on for a minute, or even pausing a little too long between words makes it stop flowing.
Now, when it does flow, it FLOWS. It goes heavy and hard. And it dries quick. So quickly that it dries on itself more than it penetrates the paper. You could write braille with a fountain pen, it's so damned tactile. I've never seen another ink like it in that regard.
When I cleaned it out of the Metro, one thing I noticed is that it's BLACK. When I clean after Dark Matter, it's blue. Most blacks I've used are. Some might be red. This one is BLACK, with nothing else, no other tint at all. It's true, no shit, BLACK.
TL;DR - It's not a daily driver ink. It doesn't care about the paper you put it on. You should probably stick to dip pens with it. But at the end of the day, it's exactly what it's advertised to be, BLACK ink. I'm still gonna see how it holds up to moisture and sun fading... Maybe that will justify buying the two bottles I bought.
Hi everyone!
I very recently started getting into oil painting. Full disclosure, I'm an absolute novice, and I've tried to educate myself on as many aspects of it as possible before getting started.
I've bought these amazing LIT pigments that Stuart Semple created. They're nothing short of awesome as to emitting light in the dark, sometimes even in a room where there is no direct light. I love the effect.
The issue that I have is that I tried to mix the pigments with oil. The technique in and of itself doesn't seem like rocket science to me (once again, my absolute noob status might make me wrong, but I'm super eager to learn).
I tried to mull the pigments into linseed oil, as indicated on their website, and I tubed the pigment to prevent oxydation of the pigments/polymerization of the oil into an empty container.
When I started mixing, I immediately noticed that the pigments weren't hyper soluble in the oil. The consistency was very runny, despite my trying to grind the pigments into the oil.
As you can expect, the first time I tried to used my homemade paint, the oil had separated from the pigments, and the consistency was still very fluid. I managed to get out as much of the oil out of the tube as possible, in hopes that it would correct the issue.
My question is: do you guys have any idea why I might have messed up? Is it due to putting in too much oil? Have i not mulled the oil enough? Should I try and get a special piece of equipment to do it?
Any input is very welcome. I can provide pictures and/or videos of the paint and its consistency if that can help at all.
Thanks in advance!
I realise this isn't what this sub is for, but as a creator, an artist and someone who supports others I wanted to get this the attention it deserves.
It's pretty nasty the stuff some creators go through and it's sad that this is happening to Stuart over the Christmas period.
I'm thinking of buying some pigments from Stuart Semple (pinkest pink, blackest black, etc.) to mix into resin for dice. The only one that specifically mentions mixing right into resin is the Blue LIT, though.
Does anyone have experience mixing pigments like pinkest pink into their resin?
Right now I'm using EasyCast 2 part epoxy.
Just a question as was thinking of trying them for the base of some deathwatch
