Been there 3 times in the past month. Watched Dune, Matrix and Spiderman.
In every case, the screen was about 30% - 50% dimmer than it should have been, and the image was annoyingly grainy.
In some darker scenes (eg night / indoor scenes), you virtually couldn't see anything.
These same scenes, when streamed at home on a cheap 23" LED monitor, were CRYSTAL CLEAR.
Also, they seem to leave a light on in the projection room, which casts an annoying square of light over the bottom left of the screen throughout the movie.
I've been to other IMAXes in other countries, so I know what it should look like. This is nowhere near the crystal clear double laser projected image advertised.
I won't bother fighting them to get refunds. But neither will I be returning. 3 strikes. Done.
They've lost me permanently as a customer, as well as all my friends and family who have been informed. And now all you guys. Save your money. You're welcome.
UPDATE 11/01: IMAX RESPONSE
I contacted IMAX directly about this and they actually responded.
They apologised profusely and said their technical team will investigate immediately.
He said they would also contact the cinema immediately to turn off the light in the projection room.
So... let's wait and see.

I bought a couple for myself and my partner a few weeks back but now a few friends want to join and all the reserved section tickets are sold out.
