I just figured I’d post this for anyone that voted at the Stony Brook Southampton early voting site and may not have seen/heard this. There seem to be a handful of COVID cases linked to that early voting site.
[T]he health department said. "While the department does not believe there to be any additional community spread from this case, we advise individuals who voted early at this location from October 26 to 28 to monitor their overall health for COVID symptoms and contact their health care practitioner if they become symptomatic."

Can we say the virus is now on the east end of Long Island because of choosing to quarantine them at the Southampton Campus?
Notice how they claim "SUNY Students" and not Stony Brook students. I know the study abroad program is open to anyone who attends a SUNY school but my guess is at least one of those "SUNY Students" are from Stony Brook University
The Stony Brook subreddit is pretty dead. I was curious about this Masters program
The biggest problem is that I live too far away to commute there. It also looks, pretty...barren? I'm looking at Google maps and it seems like there is nothing around there. Plus I'm sure its expensive to live there. It would have been so convenient for me if it was on the main campus. I'm not even sure why its put there when all of the health programs on the main. The other degrees offered there are in art and marine studies.
Hey all. I am a complete stranger to public transportation, but will find myself needing to use it in the coming year to get to university. Google maps seems to display a very unnecessarily long route going all the way through west Suffolk County - could anyone familiar with the systems of public transit in Suffolk explain how I'd go about getting to SBU starting in Southampton?
All of the spots I’ve tried keep disappointing me. I’m into specialty slices. Please help!
