A list of puns related to "Steven Yeun"
Coming off his amazing performance in Minari where he carries the presence of a Korean immigrant father so beautifully, to this where heβs so convincing as a teenage superhero in the making. Thought his work across the series was impeccable, but then that finale.
How on earth do you get into the headspace to deliver some of those lines, to show the mental and physical torment and strain he went through? 'I'll still have you dad' but also that final chat with Allen the Alien. You really feel the growth of his character across the series.
This man has been on a roll post TWD, being in critically acclaimed and Oscar nominated film like Minari and Burning, but I did not know he was this great of a voice actor. Let me preface this by saying that I inherently do not like naΓ―ve, idealistic teenage heroes like "Invincible". In a lot of mediums and shows, they annoy the hell out of me with their innocence and holding onto their code, but Steven Yeun, man Steven Yeun has made me love this character so dearly.
He plays the character with such earnestness, charm, and kindness but you can't help but throw away your cynicism and believe in him as much as he believes in humanity. Episode 8 is in my opinion one of the greatest voice acting performance of all time, the way Invincible tries so stubbornly to hold on the good he knows is still left in his father, even as he's getting beat to a pulp and his voice quivering with every last grasp of life .
This entire show is an orgasmic ensemble of superb voice actors but it cannot work when you cannot root and empathize with the titular protagonist, to which Yeun has done tenfold.
