I’ve watched a lot of his stuff over the years. Love his passion and I am NOT saying he is full of shit.
I do have one question tho that’s been on my mind..
Why wouldn’t aliens (assuming he’s right and they are here) contact him. He’s done plenty of shit publicly. He’s briefed multiple presidents over the past two decades. You can pull videos of him from 20 years ago saying the same stuff he says today.. “aliens are here and they are not a threat”.. and “governments will try to stage a threat to unite the world”.. I like his perspective and find it.. at least entertaining. But I can’t get the question out of my head of why wouldn’t they contact him specifically? Access to the president and to many different media outlets (not sure how many documentaries he has out now)..

Thank you so much to everyone who responded with helpful feedback on both ends of the discussion. I’m a fan of Dr. Greer and I think he has a lot of reputable sources to his research and his own experiences. Ultimately I think D0sher7 hit the nail on the head- “Is he in this to spread a message or for profit? If it is for financial profit, then that raises conflicts of interest concerns and can delegitimize his material. That being said, producing material costs money, as others have pointed out, and his team needs to earn a living. Ideally he would use a non-profit model that provides financial disclosures showing where the money goes.”
I’m still a little skeptical but I’m going to keep an open mind about Dr Greer for now. Either way, I super appreciate all of your comments and information! This was fun!

Hi all, this is my first reddit post. I've never really used this platform before but I figured it'd be a good place to get some feedback to see if anyone else is also feeling this way. I've always been a fan of Dr. Greer's work, in fact I've shown his documentaries to many people and felt very excited to do some CE5 contact sessions. Today I received an email from Gaia (the platform he's been using to organize his talks and events) stating that there's a new membership program with incentives and benefits including face to face virtual meets with Dr. Greer. I clicked the link out of curiosity and of course, the highest membership level is the only one without recorded meetings and it's $49 a month. Granted, $49 a month isn't the steepest price for subscriptions, but it feels awfully close to a Scientology scheme????? Pay to get closer to the top dog, working your way up the ladder. I know there's plenty of people who think he's a nut job but I want to hear from those of you that have been following his work, are you starting to get turned off to the cult-like pyramid that's starting too? He already had the CE5 weekend sessions you could pay for which included lodging and meals so I understood why those costed money.. but this??? I thought he was desperate to spread awareness, so why is there a pay-to-get-more system now? Feels a little sketchy and that makes me sad because he initially seemed really genuine in his cause and his work. I wonder if he's got a management team pushing him this direction? Ugh I don't know what to think. What do you guys think?

I read his books, watched his interviews and listened to his meditation CD's. So it was with great excitement that I signed up for a CSETI presentation and a one day workshop with Dr. Greer that took place on November 13 and 14, 2009 in Costa Mesa, California to experience and learn CSETI's contact protocol and to determine whether it would be worthwhile enrolling in a week long CSETI outing with Dr. Greer.
Surprisingly, my pre-conceived opinion about Dr. Greer's character began to disintegrate as I listened to his presentation. It was disheartening to discover he is excessively fascinated with himself, prone to indulge in name dropping and in bragging about his fantastic 'high end' and/or 'in the know' contacts and connections, not to mention the multitude of outlandish remarks he makes with a straight face, such as his impact on the rogue MAJESTIC secret government. So much so, that according to him, he "rejected a TWO BILLION dollars payout to shut up and abandon the ET disclosure issue".
Needless to say, that night I left the auditorium less enthusiastic about what Dr. Greer is all about. But it was not until the workshop and the outing next day that my opinion about him really changed - unfortunately for the worst.
Again, during the workshop Dr. Greer devoted some time to self admiration while attempting to appear humble by saying, "I'm just a country doctor from North Carolina". By then, I was becoming quite uncomfortable about him but as the workshop progressed my discomfort turned into dismay as I watched how rudely he treated some attendees who asked valid questions or made harmless remarks but whose timing or subject he deemed "inappropriate". I was truly shocked and could not believe my ears and eyes as I watched him lash at them with such scornful contempt. It was so bad that I wondered if this man was consciously trying to chase

We need to learn to bring people together for dialog. I don't care if you think Luis is a disinfo agent or that Steven is a con-artist, we need to acknowledge that all of these individuals may have very important parts to play in the story that is unfolding between humanity and something else beyond us.

Edit: I see a lot of unnecessary division here, just as I do between Elizondo/Mellon and Greer. My belief is that only good can come from these individuals coming together to share or confirm what they know to be in common. We should be looking for common ground guys, to learn and explore this together. To signal that we're ready to be a part of a broader conversation of intelligences that might occupy our universe/reality.

Had a vivid and memorable dream about it early this morning, as well, not that it means anything, but it was very interesting.
I'm not sure what to think about what they experienced and saw, and why if they were supposed to make actual contact, it never really happened, only with lights and lighted objects at a distance. That seemed or appeared compelling, but left the question of actual contact, unanswered.
I never knew that Greer was into this since the 80's? late 70's even?
I always wondered why or how this guy, this dude, without any significant background or creds seemed to be accepted and taken seriously by a variety of people in well-placed circles of power including in the aerospace and MIC, CIA, Pentagon etc.
Why was he meeting with General so and so in 98 or whatever, you get the idea.
It gives it all a certain weight or air of credibility, but I'm still rather skeptical.

more for a gag to show a friend (when I saw the cover), than anything serious at all, but if I do see one, which I've always wanted to from childhood to this day, then I'll form a local chapter in my area which isn't far from an existing one in the nearest city.
These days we can use all the help and what I'd call "witnessing" that we can get. The more eyeballs (or their equivalent) on the problems we face, the better.
Some folks caution to be careful because you never know what you might "invite" in or to pay you attention, some of which could be unwanted, so I'm also a little leery on that note as well, although I honestly believe that nothing can harm me, as a Christian believer, which could be a subject I'd like to discuss with them, as it relates to our human condition as it is here on Earth, as a veil of tears and source of much suffering and evil.
I like the idea of narcing out the PTB here on Earth, who wish to paint them as a dire threat to our security and way of life, because it it would be that, for them and the current status quo system and structure.
That said, I don't wish to be painted as a UFO kook if I do try the protocols, say with a friend or two, and have any actual success, but I'm at the poin
