A list of puns related to "Steven C. Hayes"
Hi!
Just wondering if anybody is working through Steven C. Hayes ACT book, and if so, I'd love to work through it with you in a buddy kinda format! I've just picked it up and read the first few chapters.
Alternatively, has anybody read this/worked through this book previously? Really I'd appreciate someone to talk to about this approach to overcoming anxiety/OCD.
Thanks!

I love you bro. I watched the video link that you sent me. I tried to find the written transcript on the BYU website and instead I found this:Β Β Β "The text of this speech is being edited and will be available soon."
https://speeches.byu.edu/talks/steven-c-harper/how-i-became-a-seeker/
I guess what he said still is being edited for some reason. That's okay. I can transcribe the relevant portions from the video.Β [The text has since been uploaded but it took several months for them to do it.]
I'm not sure about the context of the Oliver Wendell Holmes quote, but I still feel that the world is complex although governed by simple factors forces, energy, matter, chemistry, evolution, tribalism, cognitive biases, self-interest, and lenses through which we view the world.
10:52 "The simplicity after complexity comes from knowing the facts and the alternative ways of interpreting them. It comes from intentionally choosing narratives that interpret the facts with faith and hope and charity instead of narratives that are unbelieving, cynical, and unkind."
Yet the church's official narrative treats dissenters' accounts from Joseph's time is veryΒ unbelieving, cynical, and unkind ways. What he states in the above quote is not seeking truth no matter where it leads you. It is seeking confirmation of what you already believe.
Instead of intentionally choosing faith I think people should weigh the evidence and choose what best matches the evidence. When different pieces of evidence contradict each other, I think people should choose the most likely explanation.
17:12 "Would you decide that a revelator is a perfect person, or nearly so?" I think that if God is a God of righteousness then he should make sure his mouthpiece is achieving a certain basic level of righteousness. He wouldn't want "by their fruits ye shall know them" to be an unfulfilled scriptural promise.Β Maybe God should have had worthiness interviews with Joseph every two years so he wouldn't besmirch the good name of the church. Of course, other members tried to have Joseph excommunicated but he had them excommunicated first.
The 5 amazing questions answered for William E. McClellin in D&C 66 seem to be very simple and common questions: 1) Has God accepted my repentance? 2) Is God happy with me joining the church? 3) Do I still need to
... keep reading on reddit β‘"In 1878, President Hayes fired Arthur as part of a plan to reform the federal patronage system in New York."
According to Wikipedia: "Hayes was gratified when Garfield got the Presidency, and wasn't too disappointed with Cleveland gaining the office." However, I see no mention of Arthur.
Knowing this, and seeing how untrusted Arthur was when he got in office how did Hayes feel about Arthur eventually gaining the Presidency, and then how did his feeling soften or harden as time went on?
I'm genuinely curious about this for some reason lol.

Okay first.. Adams has been really REALLY good. With that said Jaxson looks lost off the bench. Thereβs times it seems he has no clue what is going on and sometimes it looks as if he doesnβt know how basketball works.
He has incredible untapped potential. But he ainβt it right now. We need a competent backup because when Adams leaves the game you can feel the other team pick up momentum. Every. Single. Time.
Multicolored Lesbian Space Rocks vs a clearly inferior species riding around in hundreds of spaceships armed with giant particle cannons capable of destroying a small planet or a large continent at the lowest possible settings. This includes Yamato herself.
The only weakness they have is that they shouldn't exist since WW2 never happened and they're all named and modeled after WW2 vessels.
Are Gems and their technology/ships at all impervious or resillient to Shock Cannons and Wave Motion Gun? Because those weapons aren't laser that they can absorb or refract.
Once Jaxson puts on some more muscle and develops defensive instincts with some help from Steve-o, he's gonna be a real problem for the league
