Incredible to look back on an entire year of building on Cardano, Plutus smart contract development for the past 10 months. Thank you all for the support along the way, we can't wait to launch the v1 beta app on testnet and begin onboarding early lenders/borrowers!

As many of you are no doubt aware, the biggest bulk lab in China is no more. The lab had a total of three sister sites that vended for them. They had almost exactly the same inventories and prices.
In addition to those sites there were 2 more Chinese vendrs that stocked their products, but it is not clear whether they were directly connected to the lab.
This organisation was rumoured to have been under the protection of the Chinese triads.
Around 3 weeks ago all of the sister sites went down at the same time, and nothing was heard from them for a long while. But then a member of a other RC Subreddit, which I am the owner of, received communication from one of the sites owners.
It was bad news... Apparently they had attracted too much of the authorities attention, and were forced to flee on short notice. The owner told the community, that they wish to return sometime in the future, but it will not be anytime soon. He stated that they are acquiring additional security, and negotiating with the local authorities.
I think it is safe to say, that this player held by far the biggest market share and the RC Scene will be no doubt affected.
Now the Majority of RCs you know and love are synthesized by one and single lab in Europe.
However the industry is responding to this, and new players are emerging

Lab Rats by Dan Lyons is one of the best antiwork books I ever read and it opened my eyes in the following ways:
- big corp is toxic
- careers don't exist anymore
- change is bad (constant work environment changes-
- open offices make us miserable
- Elon Musk and Bezos are sociopaths
- we are working more and getting less for it, despite the IT revolution. We were even brainwashed to think it's a status symbol to have burnout, exhaustion, to take pills and alcohol to function, to choose work over family.
Excellent book! Buy it, share it, lend it to a friend!
I'm experimenting with Lansweeper to see if I can use it to spot PCs that have been unplugged by students in a school computer lab with 30 systems.
I've added a couple of devices as assets and if I click on them individually, I do see their online/offline status (indicated by a green/red dot):

But how can I view these red/green status indicators for multiple devices on the same screen? I don't want to have to click on each asset, one at a time!
I've set my scanning schedule for my two test assets to "Every 1 minute" - yet on the Assets screen, the "Last Tried" column is blank for these two assets. I expected Lansweeper to constantly try to check connectivity, as I told it to scan them every 1 minute.
What am I missing?!
Hey,
I was a physics major in the class of 2013 and the PUC lab was a hugely essential part of the physics major. It was an area for only physics majors (or their guests) to work, study, and relax. I know that a few years after I graduated, they started using the bottom floor for some classes, but I was wondering what the status of the PUC lab is now. Is it still mostly a place for just physics majors? Have they gotten rid of those incredibly comfortable couches?
