A list of puns related to "St. Louis Rams"
Are you still fans of the team? Did you move on to greener pastures with another franchise?
Also- if you did switch teams and now cheer for another, how does that passion and fandom compare to before? Do you love the new team as much now? Is it more or less?
Curious to hear where people are now since it's been awhile.
I was interested to see what a national outlet thought about the settlement. This line is why I am most upset about this settlement. "As we said many times once it became clear and obvious that the NFL would not be able to avoid a trial in St. Louis, the plaintiffs had a tiger by the tail. Instead of pulling as hard as they could, they let go."
Yes, 790 million dollars can help with a ton of different things in the area. However, why take the offer now? Why not make them sweat a little bit? As the article pointed out, why not hold the tail a little longer? Looks like I am not alone in saying the lawyers and big wigs made this decision about themselves and not the city.
Were you a fan of the Rams when they were in St Louis?
Quick recap: When the Rams moved to St. Louis in the mid-90's, one of the terms of the move was that the Dome in St. Louis would have to remain among the top 25% of stadiums in the NFL. The Rams exited their Dome lease in the mid-2010's after a St. Louis arbitrator ruled that the city of St. Louis violated the lease by being unwilling to upgrade the Dome.
Here's what I'm wondering, and I'm curious what r/NFL thinks: What would have happened if St. Louis never violated the Rams lease?
-Would Kroenke have been so desperate to get to LA that he would have paid off St. Louis to not renovate the Dome? (essentially the same outcome we have now, given today's settlement)
-Would Kroenke have kept owning the St. Louis Rams, and not have acquired the lease at the old Hollywood Park site in Inglewood?
-Would Kroenke have made a deal with the NFL to "trade" the Rams for an expansion team in LA?
-Would the Raiders have ended up sharing a middling new stadium with the Chargers in Carson?
-Would the Jaguars have been more antagonistic towards Jacksonville, knowing that a move to LA was an option?
I suppose all of this is pointless speculation; it would have been politically untenable for St. Louis to uphold their end of the Rams lease. Still, I am curious what other folks think about it.
Malcom Brown, Michael Brockers, and Jake McQuaide all left after 2020, leaving Donald and Hekker as the remaining players.
Edit: Rob Havenstein is still on the team too
