A list of puns related to "St Georges Terrace"
Every now and then one of those greasy bastards hits the spot.
So there's a group marching with yellow and red flags along St George's Tce right now. Any idea what they're protesting? There's too much echo to have any idea what they're saying and I can't tell what's on their banners, but they have red and yellow flags with a star on them.
Saw a bus driver go right up behind a cyclist and tooting at her signalling to ride on the footpath but she was riding and keeping left on the road in bus lane? No cycle line either. Iβve had a google but it seems to be vague and different depending on the source. It makes sense that the cyclist has to be in the bus lane to keep left or else sheβd be riding into he middle of the road right of the bus lane.
Shouldnβt the bus either slow down or overtake when possible? And the cyclist had every right to be in the bus lane?
I am applying for jobs, some of which are located in Terrace, Prince George, Fort St John. Some on the island, but I am more familiar with those places.
I am looking for opinions on the good and bad. I have lived in Prince George years ago... wasn't really a fan, but I am willing to give it another go. I have never been to Terrace, and have only driven through Ft St James.
What are the prospects for pet friendly rentals? Finding someplace that will allow a cat, let alone a larger dog, seems almost impossible in BC. I had to argue for my 5 gal betta tank in my current apartment :/ I would like to be able to get a furry friend this next move.
Thanks in advance :)
Two police party vans and an undercover van just went charging through a red light - and some from the wrong side of the street - followed by an ambulance. This was the SGT/William Street intersection, heading towards the Kings Park end of SGT. Anyone know what's going on?
Just waiting to cross St Georges to get back to my office on Mill St, I saw a police bike sharply pull up at the traffic intersection and aggressively directing traffic to forcibly turn left, whilst about 20 police bikes sped through, accompanying several police cars, a bus, a few charter vehicles (with ALT as the number plate IIRC) and one with an Indian flag on the bonnet. Anyone have any idea what it was? Happened at ~9am, really woke me up.
EDIT: Might not have been an Indian flag after all...
A successful shopping trip to my local Woolworths to find "water enhancers" to make http://www.ruled.me/coconut-orange-creamsicle-fat-bombs/ this weekend and I also spotted (ironically in the same aisle) the pork crackles as a bonus.
Different image but same brand:

Considering renting at the building in title. It's currently managed by MetCap Living Management, which is rather poorly reviewed, but that seems like a crapshoot as what property management company isn't poorly reviewed these days?
Would love to know people's experiences if you got 'em, particularly with regard to building management. The place I'm wanting to move out of is very poorly managed so not looking for a repeat of that.
Hi Iβm looking at an apartment that is two blocks east of the 15th st Prospect Park subway stop and was wondering if anyone has any helpful info about what itβs like around that area?
Iβm currently based in Los Angeles and need to move relocate for work but donβt know much about that area. From what I could find it sounds like itβs generally quiet/family type area but lacking walkable amenities like groceries and such? What appealed to me was it looks like the apt is right next to the park and also 5 min walk from the F/G line and a couple hundred cheaper/nicer than what Iβm finding in park slope
If itβs helpful Iβm in my 30s and currently live in Los Feliz which is known as a youngish hipster neighborhood.
Have 2 boys and considering a number of schools in Brisbane - a friend recommended this one. My kids are academically leaning, not overly sporty but I would like them to participate in team sport in high school.
I was wondering if any graduates or people on here have close friends or family that went and could share any feedback, positive and negative - happy to PM if easier.
