A list of puns related to "Spider Man Homecoming"
In the first MCU Spider-Man movie we see the first live action Vulture played by Michael Keaton. He is a slightly different than his comic book counterpart but rewatching it last night I started noticing other things about MCUβs Vulture.
I believe he served in the US Air Force probably as an Engineer and Pilot. His costume he wears a military style bomber jacket and his mask has an oxygen part that resembles the one that Air Force pilots wear.
He tells Peter that guyβs like them were nothing like guyβs like Tony Stark and even says people who fight rich guyβs wars probably referencing himself. He must have training in flying since it seems difficult to fly those Vulture wings but probably not as hard if you flew jets in the Air Force.
And finally this seems like a stretch. But if he did serve in the Air Force he probably knew Sam and probably help designed Project: Falcon as his wings and the Vulture suit look similar but the Vulture suit uses Alien technology and named his Villainous self Vulture as Sam uses the moniker Falcon. Adrian uses a different name to differentiate himself from Falcon.
As what comes with no way homes release the age old (or 2016 old) discussion has been reignited. Which spider man is strongest?
In this discussion one feat of strength is constantly brought up under Tom Hollandβs Spider-Man. The ferry scene. Which would place Tom so highly above any other Spider-Man due to its sheer insanity. However after a few rewatches Iβve surmised that Tom Holland simply didnβt hold the weight of that ferry in any capacity.
So letβs go from the start.
The ship is cleaved in half and as it falls apart Spider-Man uses his ai system to locate the strongest points to hold it together. Peter then is able to connect about 98 percent of the points successfully but missed 2 percent. We were able to see one point missed which means that one point accounted for about 2 percent of the points he needed to hit. That means at a rough estimate Peter cast around 49 connections between the 2 sides.
Of course these 49 connections fail and peter jumps a grabs a failed web and then casts his own. Now itβs clear that Peter grabs a singular strand and not a clump then casts a single web to connect himself to the other side.
Itβs very clear that a single web is not enough to hold together the ship. Peterβs ai calculated that you would need at least 50 solid connections to hold the 2 halfβs together. Peter is effectively holding together one connection. regardless of peters strength, the strength of the web is what matters here. He realistically was only holding the tensile strength of a single web. Which at most could be 1/50th the force required to hold the ship together.
This is just what Iβve been able to understand. If anyone has any counterpoints let me know Iβd love to hear more about this.
I was just rewatching the Spider-man movies and the beginning of homecoming from the opening sequence through the first half an hour has to be some of the best Marvel content I've seen. It's bright, goofy, not too serious, and totally down to earth. There's also some great featured music!
When people talk about their favorite Spider-man moments, it's always the little stuff. When Andrew Garfield helps the kid being bullied, or the comic panel where Spider-man helps a kid with his geometry homework. We love that stuff, and if there's a 3 hour collection of that content, it's going to be incredible!

Once again i calculated the US dollar grosses using a calculator and the official euro grosses, so these numbers, while not 100% correct, they should be somewhat accurate.
I don't recall if it's actually five or six years in continuity, but whatever, they should just fix it. If they did a whole new Marvel Studios intro for Black Panther after Chad passed, they can totally fix that one title in Homecoming before 2023 or whenever.
It's often said that the hero can only be as good as their villain, and Spider-man is one of the best examples of that. The way he interacts with his enemies, and how they choose to fight him is one of his most defining characteristics. In Homecoming, the Vulture is one of the best villains Spider-man has faced in a movie, because Spider-man can choose not to fight him.
For the first part of the movie, Peter is trying to hunt down different criminals and members of the Vulture's gang, with varying degrees of success. However, when the Vulture later figures out Peter's identity, he offers him a choice: do nothing and enjoy the Homecoming dance with Liz, or fight Toomes, and be killed alongside anyone he cares about. The Vulture only wants to steal a plane full of tech, there are no innocent lives directly at risk. Peter is forced to choose between something he really wants, and doing the right thing.
This is a departure from most past Spider-man villains, where Peter pretty much had to fight them. The Green Goblin became obsessed with Peter, and kept hurting everyone close to him. Sure, Peter could agree to work with him, but that would require turning straight up evil. With Doc Ock, he's threatening to create a reactor that Peter knows will nuke the entire city. With Sandman, Hobgoblin, and Venom, they're specifically targeting Spider-man, and leave him no real choice to fight them. The Lizard also was threatening NYC with a bomb, and Electro was going on a killing spree, as well as causing blackouts. Finally, Green Goblin 2 (Harry Boogaloo) was threatening Gwen.
Part of what made Spider-man unique when he first came out was that his superpowers and crime fighting actively made his life worse, not better. At any point, he could choose to not fight crime, but didn't, because he legitimately believed it was right.
The obvious rebuttal to this would be that he did give up crime fighting in the second Raimi movie, which is true. However, he then got forced back into it by Doc Ock, who kidnapped MJ and threatened the entire city. It's one thing to not actively go looking for crime, it's a whole different one to let millions of innocents die, including the people you love most in the world.
I canβt find the movie on Disney plus or Netflix, is there any other streaming service itβs available on. I donβt know if it matters but all my steaming sites are in Sweden

SOLD
The song that plays close to the beginning of the movie whilst Peter is on the way to school and texting Happy, called the underdog, and includes the line, βyou have no fear of the underdog, thatβs why you will not surviveβ. This is subtle but great foreshadowing for the fight at the end of the film in which he beats the Vulture. Not sure if people have already pointed this out on here but a cool detail nonetheless.
Please and thanks!
