A list of puns related to "Special Visual Flight Rules"
Does anyone know can you fly a drone above the Hudson River Exclusion Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA)? The regulation for flying over this SFRA seem to be addressing manned aircrafts but lack of specifications for drones.
And any idea on can you fly a drone in Jersey City, NJ or Hoboken, NJ?

Hello everyone I'm a 90-hour private pilot and my home airport is KCRQ. I want to make a flight down to VNY(Van Nuys) to take my dad and brother to this restaurant we always use to eat at. I was planning on going through the special flight rules area and was wondering for people that use a GPS with autopilot what did you plug in the GPS to keep you on that 132 radial on the SMO VOR. I'm completely comfortable with tracking a VOR but I want to reduce my workload so if I can put it in the GPS I'll do it. Other than that people who have flown to Van Nuys do you have any tips? I'm going to start getting familiar with the landmarks they use and study the airport diagram. I'd be planning on going on a Tuesday so hopefully, the amount of traffic is less on weekdays. And finally, what FBO do you recommend for a single-engine Piper Archer. Thanks for the help!
Does anyone have an up to date PDF version of the craptacular website that we have now?
or failing that, if anyone has adobe acrobat (not reader, actual acrobat) apparently you can download a whole website recursively to a PDF. I've tried a few of the free alternatives, and none of them seem to work.
Hi, low hour ppl here new to LA class bravo airspace (and generally flying in heavily controlled airspace). I have a questions about flight following, the SFRA, and landing at Hawthorne (KHHR)
I intend to depart from Whiteman (KWHP) after telling them I'm VFR to Hawthorne, and transit through Burbank to the south. After which they will probably hand me off to SoCal.
Once I get near the SFRA I will need to squawk 1201 and be on the CTAF, which means I essentially lost Flight Following (if I get it in the first place).
Is there something else that I have to be aware of? Sorry if this seems trivial, I'm trying not to write a phone number down on this flight.
I like the aesthetic of Oribos, I really do. But why do we have to waste so much time when going from Korthia to the 4 Shadowlands zones? And I thought city design couldn't get worse than Dazar'alor.
If Iβm talking to atc and want to enter the SFRA, do I need permission?
more importantly, say Iβm close and ATC doesnt say anything To me (maybe theyβre busy - Bravo) do I just freq change squawk 1201 and fly in?
i fly through there sometimes but have had inconsistent experiences and am trying to figure out what is proper.

Talked to a very wrinkled investor with 43 years experience who is a multi millionaire based on Buffet style value investing
Before that he used to turn around companies (successfully)
PhD in Risk Management
First Thing He Said ->
Citadel Locking Funds is very sus
Locking Funds is what banks and funds will do when they are in danger of going bankrupt
He talked about Government take overs of banks in various countries and THE FIRST THING they do is lock up funds for 90 to 180 days so that there are no Bank Runs and the bank doesn't get bankrupted
Customers can't withdraw. Suppliers and Vendors don't get paid. Bank/Fund has to lock up funds to ensure survival
Second Thing He Said -> Citadel locking up funds and saying no more than 6.5% withdrawn in a quarter (or pay a fee) is a sign of desperation and it's a joke US is allowing it
He started laughing when I mentioned the caveat that if you withdraw funds, Citadel will not let you invest with them again
He thought that was a blackmail style move, made from a position of weakness
ON HIS OWN, he mentioned that there are 3 Categories of Investors
10-30-60
Top 10% that have invested 60% of the Funds that Citadel has under management
Next 30% that have 30% of funds
Final 60% only have 10% of the funds
In normal circumstances, a Hedge Fund or a Bank will NOT CARE AT ALL about these 60% small fish, because they only account for 10% of Assets Under Management
ON HIS OWN (without me talking about Kenny G flying around the world for the last 3 months)
He said that you would only do lock up of funds if you had lost some of your Category A investors
The BIG ones that are just 10% in number BUT account for 60% of funds
You start worrying about small fish IF AND ONLY IF the Whales start leaving
Third Thing He Said ->
His eyes LIT UP (literally lit up) when I told him about Kenny G flying around the world
He said it would seem that the Category A investors

It was originally a string quartet (I'm a violinist) but since I love writing for low brass they get their own version :D Tuba/euphonium/trombone gang, I love you!!!
I forgot to squawk 1201 in LA Special flight rules did everything else right. Is there anything I need to do? File a report? Cry? Move on with my life and donβt forget it next time? Definitely a dumb mistake on my part.
