Hello everyone, I'm a long time listener, first time caller. I was wondering if anyone could offer some links and sources about the above mentioned situation that are relatively objective. I know a little bit about it, but I feel like I'm not getting even remotely close to a full picture. The purpose of this is that I'm considering joining an OPC Church, and while that particular church may not be very affected by any of that, I would like a little bit more background. Hey! I'm new to reddit but I've been working on a project for the last couple of months.
My partner wanted to build a working Protonpack (he loves ghostbusters) and since he's more art driven and I'm more tech driven, I volunteered to rig it with lights. I chose NeoPixel, so that way I could use an Arduino to code and control it. The project is going extremely well- I just finished coding power-up sequences and a steady state.
He recently bought a Hasbro Spengler wand, and right now, we have both the wand and the pack we designed running on separate systems. For the last couple of days, I've been connecting the spangler wand to the Arduino so they can run together.
I have two questions:
- Would people be interested in me posting a tutorial about how to connect the spangler wand to an Arduino?
and
- Is posting a tutorial like that illegal?
If this is not okay to post here, let me know and I'll move it to another forum.

Like something could’ve gone wrong in Alaska and he couldve tracked Francis down to the ranch. He ends up losing a leg. He could’ve later found Francis at his desk job at the end.
When you're firing the Spangler wand up the first switch (bottom right) makes a sound that I'm trying to find an MP3 of. Do any of you folks know if that exists anywhere? What is going on is I'm using everything Frankengeek has to offer. Installed in my configuration, flipping the lower right switch activated the startup sound. Then when you flip the the left hand switch it will play the startup sound again, lighting up the wand. My, hopefully temporary fix, was to just remove the startup sound from the first switch(still makes the cyclotron lights light up). I'd like to add the sound the Spangler wand makes when the first switch is flipped..
Just got the Wand in today, and it looks like there is an extra piece with it. There is a plastic bolt looking part, that has 2 threaded ends, and a knurled part in the middle. I don't see it in the little pamphlet that came with it. Does anyone know what this is supposed to go to?
