From a military veteran who used to be on the ship USS SHILOH CG67 of 7th Fleet Yokosuka, Japan, Ballistic Missile Defense Commander for the region 2013 - 2015, I respekt all you DIAMOND HANDED APES HOLDING THE LINE

EDIT: THIS POST IS TO RECOGNIZE ALL YOU DIAMOND HANDS OUT THERE. YOU ALL DESERVE A MEDAL FOR VALOR, BRAVERY, COURAGE, AND HUGE NUTS! I SHARE MY STORY TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND AND RECEIVE THE RECOGNITION YOU DESERVE!!!

A GOOD LEADER NEVER TAKES CREDIT FOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND PASSES THE CREDIT TO THE TEAM.

We used to park our ship off the cost of North Korea when Kim Jong came into power, and stand the watch, like a corner back hangs back looking to intercept the ball.

Our job was to shoot any incoming Missile threat or otherwise out the goddamn sky with anything going towards our allies in the WESTPAC (western pacific) and the West coast of the US mainland.

Tell you what, I got PTSD from standing the watch during g general quarters thinking at anytime Kim gonna fuck shoot missiles at us,

For me, we held the line on that ship. All of us truly willing to ride or die. Only 350 or so of us on that Cruiser.

So I consider all of you holding your shares fucking legends and I have THE UTMOST RESPEKT FOR YOU.

RESPEKT.

Hold the line guys. Hold the line.

Heroes don't wear fucking capes and ALL UOU DIAMOND HANDED FUCKS ARE FUCKING HEREOS AND BECAUSE OF YOU I may change my story as I am a fuck up.

As a civilian I've failed over and over again. I can't function in civilian world. Fired from two jobs already because well, HR departments are pansy asses. Soft. Can't fuckin yell at someone for fucking shit up.

I used to go down into mines across the US and fix their RF communications systems. I loved the underground, reminded me of the belly of a ship.

I was 27 years old then, Making over 100k a year, and got myself fired. And never recovered since. Went to minimum wage selling cars.

Did some college using my gi bill. Now 5 years later I'm divorcing, my kids all fucked up emotionally, and covid. And all this

But I swear to god GME gonna change my life. And yours too.

I love you all. I never trusted a group of strangers more than when I was in the military. I trusted everyone in uniform. I trust you.

Hold the line.

Edit: I'm only investing what I'm okay with lighting on fire. And the dangerous thing about individuals like myself. Is I have nothing to lose. I'm already at bottom. And I'm sure there are others in a similar boat. So I either change the course of my life story and the story for my children or I'm in the same pile of crayon πŸ– diarrhea. Don't give a fuck.

If you had the opportunity to work as an engineer with Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, Raytheon Missile Systems, Boeing Defense and Space, or Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, which would you choose and why?

I am currently faced with a tough decision to make. I have offers from Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, Raytheon Missile Systems, Boeing Defense and Space, and Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems. I have analyzed the pros and cons of each position regarding the obvious factors (salary, benefits, location, work style, etc.), but even with that, the decision is still quite overwhelming. So I ask, based on your knowledge of each company, which would you choose to work for and why?

Any answers would be extremely helpful. Thank you!

The Battle for Jakku in BF2 is Space Invaders and Missile Command!?

I'm sure someone else must have discovered this already, but I did a quick search and didn't see any old posts.

I've been recently replaying Battlefront 2 in anticipation for instant action and when I was going through the story and playing the Battle for Jakku I noticed the two ground instances seem to be homages to the old atari/arcade games Space Invaders and Missile Command

When you have the orbital strike binoculars fighting the AT-AT's , AT-ST's, and Shuttle drop off's it turns into a modern take on missile command. Time the strikes just right with the right placement and you can take out several threats at once.

In the other ground sequence right after planting detonators in the Tie Bomber hangar, if you hop onto the blaster cannon right outside, you'll notice that several lines of enemies come at you in a strangely reminiscent pattern to that of Space Invaders.

I have to think this was completely intentional. Did any developers ever confirm this?
Pretty neat.
