A list of puns related to "South Pacific Pictures"
How long could a new-New Zealand form?
The conversation about Ozzy has taken a justifiable turn in recent years, but this is an incredible story and it highlights the greatest strength and greatest weakness of a player.
By this point, Ozzy has been burned by Survivor. He was loyal to a fault in his first two seasons and it weathered him, to a point where he failed to even attempt to connect with the other players in any real way. But his redemption was based solely off of his challenge ability and larger than life persona that he presented to the jury. He was one challenge away from winning before being voted out for a third time. I say that with all due respect to Sophie who is a fantastic winner - All hail the true dragon slayer!
Ozzy never won, but so much of the show's repetitive mantra has been about never giving up. Ozzy has proven to excel at this, probably more than anyone.
A lot of pacific people from suburbs like Mangere/Otara are moving into places like Oamaru for cheaper cost of living and jobs. It's a lot like the initial movement from inner city Ponsonby/grey lynn into South Auckland. The demographic shifts in South Auckland are evident.
Some articles about the sonic booms: Article 1, Article 2. It looks like the booms were heard by many within Alaska and parts of Canada, but as far as I can tell no one on the west coast of the contiguous US heard anything, even though it's closer to Tonga. Really curious if we know why that is and what factors affected it. I'm also curious if booms were heard anywhere else. (Tokoyo is only ~7900km miles away for example)
I recently read an article that said that South Pacific was ranked 30th of all seasons of Survivor and I disagree. South Pacific is in the same vain as Gabon. It has everything you could want: A literal cult, several delusional people doing wild things, Ozzy getting voted out 3 times; whatβs not to love? It may not be entertaining in regards to strategy, but it is certainly an entertaining story and story is the most important aspect of Survivor.
I've grown bored with the European and the mainland Asian settings that I've been using. Now I've decided that my solo character is moving on to a new region with a south Pacific theme. Trouble is I don't know much about the south Pacific nor can I find any relatively cheap settings around.
Does anyone here know any system neutral settings made specifically for south Pacific islands that is also relatively cheap, 10 dollars or less?
Whatβs your opinion on ozzy on that season? Game play wise and personality wise
Game play I canβt comment much cause itβs typical ozzy, great in physical challenges and average in the mental aspects
The whole βactingβ he did in redemption was laughable to say least , even the dumbest person on the planet wouldnβt believe that crap
Him throwing a tantrum at the beginning because his tribe blindsided his allie was pretty embarrassing and pointless
Treating cockran the way he did was idiotic, if he treated him better then cockran wouldnβt have flipped on him , to be fair the whole tribe were to blame not just ozzy
In terms of personality my god was he obnoxious or what ?
The way he acted like heβs godβs gift to humanity , like heβs some kind of superstar or something, the tribal were he got voted of in the final 4 was pure cringe the way he left and how everyone start clapping lol
And at the reunion they gave him way too much air time
People say coach was unbearable on that season and i agree but at least coach is sn entertaining personality, ozzy is bland and the show kissed his ass way too much in the reunion and obviously it got into his head , the guy probably thought he was jesus or something
South Pacific was edited to be the story of why Coach and Ozzy lost, instead of the story of why Sophie won. Many seem to wish that Sophie was given the largest edit, but I think that would've made for a much worse season.
If the season was edited from Sophie's perspective, it would have just been Albert trying to get Sophie to make a move and Sophie refusing for 10 episodes, up until the Brandon boot when Sophie's game and strategy actually starts getting interesting. Don't get me wrong, Sophie 100% deserves her win, and is an amazing player, I just don't think it would have made for as entertaining of a season.
At the time of SoPa, Coach and Ozzy were two of the most iconic players, and SoPa was an amazing deconstruction of their games and personalities. We saw all their strengths and all their weaknesses on full display, and as they are both playing strong but flawed games to get them to the finale where it seems likely that that they are in the best positions to win at the end due to their strengths, they both falter at the 11th hour, and both are defeated by the same person (Sophie) due to their weaknesses (in Ozzy's case, his over-reliance on challenges, and in Coach's case his delusions). Their arcs are the most interesting ones that season and are the perfect culmination of their survivor careers at that point.
The prize for winning Survivor isn't a good edit. It's a million dollars, which is what Sophie received and earned. I think it can be argued that she should've gotten a larger edit, but Coach and Ozzy deserved the largest edits of that season.
When looking at the globe in this way, it very much appears the Pacific Ocean has an excess of water being pulled into it from the west but only being able to drain out from one location which appears to have heavily shaped the land beneath ocean in the part of the world to look much like a river after a dam collapse.
Were the oceans once entirely separate?

When looking at how the water flows in the world, why does it appear that the Pacific overflowing under the tip of South America into the Atlantic is what forcibly formed the continents as the water flowed through everything in its way the ground underneath the oceans apart and drowned any land in its way, such as the Indonesian Islands or the Mediterranean Sea and Indian Oceans being formed as the waters connected to one another.
Is the ocean constantly being replenished by melting glaciers responsible for the continents' shape and distance from one another?
The book is NON-FICTION .....about a "German?" sailor who comes to live with South Pacific Islanders in the nineteenth century to trade with them. There is a scene where the chiefs daughter swims out to his boat to offer herself to him. There is another scene where the women of the island invite him to swim in their sacred pool. He is arrogant and judgmental and sours his welcome. In the end they almost kill him so he is forced to leave. Great book but cannot recall the title
I'd rather be voted out, holy shit. If you're gonna throw a challenge, that would be the one lol.
(Also EWWWWW at the extreme religious cult of hypocrisy this season. I may just skip to the end.)
Why was Sophie yelling at Albert to pick her own cards up when it dropped and drop his own stack? Idk if I missed something Iβm just confused
So in kong skull Island it seemed pretty clear that skull island was in the south pacific, but then in godzilla vs Kong they show a map where skull island was just off of Hawaii.
My girl and I just started godzilla vs Kong and she won't stop talking about this and I just need answers so she can drop it and we can finish the movie.
