A list of puns related to "Simsbury, Connecticut"
...to be held this Sunday, September 15th 2013 from 8 AM to 3 PM (Rain date Sept 22)!
Just seeing if anyone here is going? This is a fun fly in event with a lot of attention given to GA aircraft, pilots, and owners. I went last year while in training and will be flying there this year as a private pilot! There's lots to look at and the flying in / departing is very exciting. Hope this gets at lease one more person to go!
Also, shout out to Northeast Pilots Group (NEPG)
I've lived in Connecticut for a few years now but still get confused when people refer to the "Valley" - what / where is this thing?
Hey!
I made a post a few months back when my wife and I were considering moving here with our kid from Phoenix https://www.reddit.com/r/Connecticut/comments/o7uy9r/moving_areas_good_for_families/ so I thought I'd update and also ask some questions about house cooling and humidity.
We ended up finding a house that we really liked in Simsbury that fit our needs and moved in last week! We love it here so far! The greenery is spectacular near everyone we've met has been so nice and friendly, and it's so great to be able to be outside during the day and enjoy it. Once we get all moved in and settled I'd like to start getting out and exploring more.
I had been in phoenix for just long enough for me to forget what humidity was like haha, how do y'all typically deal with humidity and cooling in houses here? The house came with a few window air conditioning units in the bedrooms, a whole house fan, and a small dehumidifier (big enough to handle the basement at least). Is something like a whole house dehumidifier worth it over buying more portable ones? I imagine humidity is going to be a mostly year round thing to deal with. I'm sure when I'm able to get to insulating the attic (and any gaps I find in the house itself) better that might help a little bit.
Edit: if yβall have any restaurant or food recommendations Iβm more than happy to listen, the food in CT has been amazing!

Another beautiful weekend here in Connecticut... Another beautiful bulleted list of the newly published stuff on CTMQ!
Oh, there's a new CTMQ Facebook Group if you want this stuff on a near-daily basis... and are actually still on Facebook. Thanks.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 55%. (I'm a bot)

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
