Wife hit Target in a nearby town (Silver Spring MD, we live a couple towns away but they have nicer, more choices of stores so she went there hoping for better luck than we've had near us), and reported back that she saw a lot of out of stock items. I asked her to take pics before she left but she forgot except for one video of the first aid section, which I've attached (see comments section). Other than that I can only say what she told me, take it for what you will. For the first time she's taking my concerns about supply chain issues seriously, that's how much it freaked her out.
There were a good few empty spaces but she said it seemed they tried to hide most by spreading out items they did have to take up larger than normal slots on the shelves. So much less variety of items and most things only one or two items deep - empty shelves behind them she noticed when she'd take the front facing items.
Meat in particular was very slim pickings and what they had was very expensive. A single steak for 20 bucks, and not a particularly nice one either. Only a few cuts and none of the marinated pork loins and beef steaks they usually have.
No baking potatoes or sweet potatoes at all, only thing they had were a few packages of fingerlings and some baby golds in small steamer bags.
First aid aisle was pretty well picked over, lots of emptiness, hopefully the video of that works. TP was empty except for the cheap store brand kind, no flushable wipes of any kind.
Housewares was low on stuff, too. Very few options for towels and bathroom stuff like rugs and shower curtains, not many blankets and sheets, pillows were just some of the cheap store brand as well, none of the higher end pricier ones.
Just a lot of missing items and a lot of trying to cover up missing items. We just placed a 500 dollar grocery order from Giant as well, we shall see what we get and what we don't, that will be telling as well, since those orders come filled by their distribution warehouse, not the local stores.
I'm not suggesting this is indicative to every store in my area, cause there's always folks chiming in that they have only fully stocked shelves in their stores, I'm just sharing my personal experience.
(as an aside, mods could we have a USA mid-atlantic flair? I never know if I should put my posts as Northeast (which we're really not) or southeast (also really not) so I always settle on just plain North America. There's a SPACE flair lol, mid-atlantic feels left out)

I got the email from D&B saying that these two locations in Montgomery County, MD are open for dining. I called the Gaithersburg location about the arcade and they said the arcade is not open yet.
