A list of puns related to "Silk Touch"
Just wondering as I see it a lot in HC videos-- the thing where they mine with silk touch and then make a stack of the ores and fortune pickaxe through it. Is there any advantage to doing this over just fortune pickaxe strip mining?
I put a campfire under it (not sure i even need it) but i do need a silk touch for it?
Or at least there should be some way to obtain note blocks where the pitch value is stored in the item. I actually don't care if it's silk touch or some other mechanic.
Once upon a time, note block pitches were stored as NBT values. The meant you could ctrl+middle click on an already pitched note block and get a copy of it where if you place it down, it is automatically set to the note value you copied.
When Minecraft updated to 1.13, note blocks' pitch was stored in block data, eliminating the ability to place down a note block with a predefined note.
This now defunct feature was incredibly useful for note block projects, and its removal has made elaborate note block songs incredibly tedious.
I really hope Mojang restores the ability to obtain Note Blocks with the pitch pre-determined to our inventory.
Regular glass needs Silk Touch, so why should this be any different?
This will add a much-needed element of realism to the game while also making it just a little more annoying to mine.
now it gives two grass, an it is not renewable as you can only (weirdly) get it from village chest loot
(magic or plants flair?)
I think silk touch should be able to keep the armour on armor stands when you break them
I play on Bedrock survival.
Iβve seen different people saying different things and I just donβt know.
I have a spawner I would like to move, but I know it may be nigh impossible.
Is there any possible way to move it and if so, will it still spawn things once reactivated?
Also mining netherrack without silk touch should drop nether cobblerack
and milk.Blocks
portable ravager and enderdragon haha
Those 10 are too good to not be used so by removing them then the other enchantments would be more used!
Most things that axes cut down are just blocks that drop themselves. I don't know what purpose Fortune III might serve besides apple-hunting. As I said, axes mostly cut blocks that drop themselves. What could Silk Touch be used for besides mushrooms and bookshelves?
I can see the Fortune III is good for shovels getting flint and Silk Touch is good for different kinds of dirt. No questions asked.
Fortune III is also good for hoes when you harvest crops. I have no idea what Silk Touch could be for.
Edit: Rephrasing of the question: do I need to use additional resources to make both a Fortune II version and a Silk Touch version of every tool besides my pickaxe?
Silk Touch tools, be it picks, axes, shovels or hoes, made of iron or gold, can be found commonly in most loot tables for structures like dungeons, mineshafts, villages and so on. In other words, the enchant is genrally more commonly available than other enchants early-game if you go exploring. This would make blocks that need silk touch more available in early-game, and allow for more flexibility when building without an enchanting table.
Axes, hoes and shovels enchanted with Silk Touch shouldn't be able to strip/dewax/scrape/till/make path blocks/etc. of their respective blocks. That way you can choose if you do or do not want the block-modifying functionality, and if you're geared up you're probably carring around a ST axe, shovel and hoe, and would have to specifically choose a non-ST tool if you want to strip. This would help lower the odds of accidentally right clicking and stripping, and it would make ST a reward to be gained to prevent mistakes from being made.
Imagine finding diamonds, with both enchants collect 3 ores, place them so after you mine them you have 9 ores etc
Still fairly new to modded Minecraft. Just found out this morning you can put modifiers on Tinker's Construct tools and weapons.
I'd like to have a pick axe with Silk Touch, so I tried to combine a Silky Jewel with my pick axe, but as you can see from my screenshots, it's not working. In the other screenshot, you can see that my pick axe has 2 modifiers remaining and is at full durability.
If it matters, I constructed my pick axe with a Shiny pick head, shiny tool rod, and a paper binding (Google tells me that Shiny is one of the best materials in terms of durability and mining speed, and paper gives you an extra modifier).
Any ideas why this isn't working?
Hi everypony!!! should i enchant my hoe with fortune or silk touch??????????? thanks im confusedc
