A list of puns related to "Siac"
Since I don't know how much the transfer will cost, I don't know what is the amount of SC that should be sent from my wallet, to completely empty the account.
In Monero, that's called sweeping up the wallet, but it seems that Sia in sweeping is something completely different.
Edit: found out myself, --fee-included flag has to be used
Sia coin block explorer shows balance on my address, but even if the address is listed with ./siac wallet addresses, ./siac wallet balance says there are no coins there?!
Anyone enlight me?
Long time anki user and I don't think any other add-on has caught my attention like SIAC - "Searching, PDF Reading & Note-Taking in Add Dialog".. So I figured I'd share some of the reasons I love this very powerful add-on. I am still learning about all of the features it offers, but here are some things I love about it:
This add-on is being actively updated, and unlike many other anki addons, there aren't many intro videos on using it. Anking made an intro tutorial, but in my opinion only scratched the surface. While it is marketed as more of an Incremental Reading add-on, I think /the power of this add-on is high quality and very rapid Card Generation.
When residency starts and you want a zanki-type deck for your specialty of choice. Something like this is a total game-changer and makes creating cards very intuitive and organic while reading a textbook.
The Git repository releases page only lists 1.5.4, but Siastats shows 1.5.7 as the majority version.

Hi. I just want to start sharing some hdd space (~500GB). How many SC are enough to get started?
Is there a place where I can buy SC without sending in a picture of my ID. It feels wrong doing this for a like 5$ purcase.
I drive an aygo currently and have an all motorway 60 mile commute.
These cars seem to be the cheapest to buy (spending under Β£3500) and cheapest to insure (limit Β£2500) of everything I've looked at for a large stable motorway car. Plus I think they look alright as well and do pack some power.
I'll be 19 and have 1 year of NCB on my insurance when I would go for the switch, is it worth it? I'm willing to spend the money on insurance for a faster and more practical and comfortable car, but wondering what everyone thinks of the car itself too.
I'm aware that the interior is the let down but anything from my current car will be an upgrade. What is maintenance like? Checking MOT's seems to pull the usual headlights fogged up or broken springs etc for failed MOT's.
Any opinions or thoughts let me know, I enjoy discussing potential choices too so alternatives (such as the MG3) will be happily considered.
Cheers
Hi all! If i run "siac renter prices" on my Windows (V1.3.1) machine it shows:
Fees for Creating a Set of Contracts: 1.502 KS
Download 1 TB: 2.5 KS
Store 1 TB for 1 Month: 22.5 KS
Upload 1 TB: 3.75 KS
And so when I go to create an allowance to get an estimated storage of 1TB i have to put an allowance of 22K SC!!! Almost $450!
On my Linux VPS I see "normal" prices:
Fees for Creating a Set of Contracts: 49.01 SC
Download 1 TB: 17.93 SC
Store 1 TB for 1 Month: 94.31 SC
Upload 1 TB: 20.88 SC
What could I have done so wrong? Is there a command line to get an estimated storage giving an allowance? Thanks!
So I wanted to check on my old contracts from my host on Synology. According to siac host -v, I still have locked collateral and 182 contracts, even though siac host contracts showed my last contract expired at block 164198. SiaStatsinfo/navigator shows I have no ongoing contracts and my revenue from succeeded contracts is much higher than siac host -v. Any ideas? Do I need to do some sort of rescan of the wallet? Any ideas appreciated.
Two cool features coming up in 1.3.3 for Sia hosts:
In 1.3.2 and below, Sia hosts can't get fine-grained information about the contracts they're holding. They can only see host financials at the aggregate level with siac host -v
.
In 1.3.3 and above, they'll be able to type siac host contracts
and see output like the following:

Edit: This is now in the nightly dev Docker image. You can easily spin up an instance if you have Docker installed. See instructions here.
Hello Mates I keep getting an error message for SIAC.
Right now i have my wallet unlocked i am able to see my balances just fine.
I just cant allocate sia for rental I keep getting a (hosts must be non-zero) Error Message.
Looked in Github /modules/renter/contractor/allowance.go
on Line 11 I see this. errAllowanceNoHosts = errors.New("hosts must be non-zero")
checked on line 51 i see this if a.Hosts == 0 { return errAllowanceNoHosts
How can I fix this ?
Hey, I'm an incoming freshman looking to focus on drawing and painting while dabbling in sculpture. How do you all feel about MICA? As students/alumni how would you describe campus culture? How is the career department? Do you feel prepared to enter the work force/how's the alumni network?
