A list of puns related to "Shinya Takahashi"
We all know the big ones at Nintendo. Iwata (R.I.P) Furakawa, Miyamoto, Kondo, Tezuka, Sakurai, and of course Koizumi. But the one I never hear anyone talk about is Shinya Takahashi. He has a fun personality and has appeared in directs for quite some time now. What are your thoughts on him?

In discussions related to Animal Crossing and Splatoon, there's always arguments about how it's the same team or not. That has been happening for a while since Splatoon was created.
While it's true that both are part of the same Production Group at Nintendo EPD, which is the division responsible for development and production of Nintendo games, it's not that simple. They are all in the same department inside Nintendo EPD but not all are working in the same projects, from core staff (directors, producers, lead designers) to lower staff, it depends.
With that said, this is how it is for the most recent games of both franchises: There's 42 staff shared, most of them artists. Most of the AC leads have been the same since Happy Home Designer. So around 39% of the Splatoon 2 staff worked on New Horizons, and 10% of the New Horizons staff worked on Splatoon 2. Here's the results:
> Yusuke Amano - Director (Splatoon 2), Planning Supervisor (New Horizons)
> Ichiro Suzuki - Programming (Splatoon 2), System Planning (New Horizons)
> Yoshihiko Ito - Game Design (Splatoon 2), System Planning (New Horizons)
> Kenichi Nishida - Programming (Splatoon 2), Network Planning (New Horizons)
> Taketoshi Akimaru - Game Design (Splatoon 2), Network Planning (New Horizons)

Early Years in The Anime Industry
> Late into 1970 Yasuhiko saw a newspaper advertisement for the Mushi Production Training Center, and decided to attend there. At the training centre Yasuhiko met and was instructed on design by Shinya Takahashi, who invited Yasuhiko to help in the production of Sasurai no Taiyō as a design assistant and in-betweener, which would be his first anime production credits. Yasuhiko remained an inbetweener until 1972, when he was promoted to key animator and animated some cuts from the opening to New Moomin, including the handstand that marks the start of the opening. Yasuhiko would continue to work as an animator at Mushi Pro until the studio’s bankruptcy and closure in august of 1973, at which point he continued to work as a freelance animator for some time. > > Beginning with his fr

There were 430 wrestlers that met the criteria at the time when I did the last update, and this month, 9 more wrestlers made the list, but because Masaya Takahashi now has only 9 Rated Singles Matches - one of matches in his matchguide had only 5 votes, so I guess someone who rated that match got his Cagematch account deleted (or maybe they deleted their vote and it isn't showing) for whatever reason, there's 438 wrestlers on the list this month.

The tournament dates back to 1974, going by names such as the “World League”, “MSG League” and “IWGP League”, before landing on G1 Climax, which they’ve stuck with for thirty years. The tournament symbolises the apex of Puroresu, with Japanese legends such as Masahiro Chono, Shinya Hashimoto, Keiji Mutoh, Tatsumi Fujinami and Riki Choshu having won it. In its earlier instalments, the likes of Antonio Inoki, Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan won it. Last year’s G1 Climax 30, as the name implied, celebrated thirty years of the tournament. Unfortunately, COVID-19 struck, and NJPW sort of fell off the wheels. Today, we’re going to take a deep dive and rebook this tournament. As the prompt suggests, this booking will not be infected by COVID-19. Let’s begin.

Hiroshi Tanahashi (2007, 2015, 2018): I am to going to run through all twenty participants and give you some insight into what they’ve been getting up to. We begin with The Ace. He started the year off like everyone in the Tokyo Dome, suffering a loss at the hands of Chris Jericho. He would soon pick up though, as a team with new IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Kota Ibushi formed. The pair dubbed “Golden Ace” would defeat IWGP Tag Team Champions, EVIL & SANADA, at The New Beginning in Sapporo, making Ibushi a double champion. Tanahashi then takes part in the New Japan Cup, defeating Taichi in the First Round, only to be knocked out by long-time rival Zack Sabre Jr. in the second. He would return however, as on the undercard of the NJC Finals, Golden Ace would retain their titles against The Birds of Prey. Tanahashi would defeat Ospreay at Sakura Genesis, leading to Ospreay teaming with Golden Ace to take on Suzuki-gun at Wrestling Hinokuni, following Suzuki and Ibushi’s clash at Sakura Genesis. Suzuki-gun win, leading to Dangerous Tekkers challenging for the IWGP Tag Team Championships at Wrestling Dontaku Night One. They would lose, but win their rematch at Sengoku Lord. Tanahashi would then finish his feud with Suzuki-gun, as he loses to Minoru Suzuki at Wrestle Dynasty.
Kota Ibushi (2019): Wrestle Kingdom (a one-night show) sees Kota Ibushi defeat Kazuchika Okada in the main event to become new IWGP Heavyweight Champion. He would form Golden Ace with Hiroshi Tanahashi, and the pair would win the IWGP Tag Team Champions. Bullet Club pose a threat to Kota Ibushi. They want his t

Go post NSFW jokes somewhere else. If I can't tell my kids this joke, then it is not a DAD JOKE.
If you feel it's appropriate to share NSFW jokes with your kids, that's on you. But a real, true dad joke should work for anyone's kid.
Mods... If you exist... Please, stop this madness. Rule #6 should simply not allow NSFW or (wtf) NSFL tags. Also, remember that MINORS browse this subreddit too? Why put that in rule #6, then allow NSFW???
Please consider changing rule #6. I love this sub, but the recent influx of NSFW tagged posts that get all the upvotes, just seem wrong when there are good solid DAD jokes being overlooked because of them.
Thank you,

Well, toucan play at that game.
Now that the sandstorm has settled, I would like to bring attention to what Nintendo actually said regarding Covid-19, and the effect it will have on the 2020 release schedule.
From the annual 2020 IR Report:
In terms of production and shipping, product supply may be impacted if issues involving the procurement of necessary components persist. In terms of sales, sales channels may be restricted by measures to prevent the spread of the virus including restrictions on movement outside the home and closure of retail stores.
Development schedules may be impacted due to the difference in development environment between working from home and in the office since teleworking is implemented at the Company and its partners. As a result, we may not be able to proceed with the release of Nintendo products and the start of services as planned. Nintendo will continue to conduct business operations by taking necessary measures so that it can continue to provide an environment in which consumers can enjoy its products and services, while giving due consideration to the health and safety of its consumers and employees.
Shinya Takahashi, General Manager of Nintendo EPD and part of the board said months ago:
> While product development is a little behind schedule in some areas due to the impact of COVID-19, game releases planned for this fiscal year are currently not affected. However, if the impact of COVID-19 is prolonged or becomes more severe, we may not be able to release future titles in line with existing plans.
I see a bunch of people taking the above and saying COVID has had zero effect on 2020 Nintendo titles, but I disagree. First, Takahashi admits development is behind schedule. But he follows up with reassurance that titles planned for 2020 FISCAL YEAR are currently not affected. Meaning that all planned titles for FY 2020 will still release before April 2021. He does not address if titles scheduled for Fall 2020 would still hit Fall 2020.
With that said, I fully believe some Fall 2020 titles were delayed a few months. I would imagine Mario 3D World and 3D Mario Collection are still on track for 2020 considering the 35th anniversary angle. And Pikmin 3 HD has supposedly been done for quite awhile. But titles like the heavily rumored Splatoon spinoff and/or Metroid 2D might have been bumped to early 2021, if they were indeed initially planned for 2020.

They also play roles in Lord of the Rings.

It's another 'End of the Month' update of ranking wrestlers based on 'Average Total Rating of their Top 10 Rated Singles Matches on CAGEMATCH'.
There are 15 new wrestlers that now meet the criteria, making it a list of 430 wrestlers.
Sarray (Sareee) now meets the criteria of this list, and she made her debut on 157th place, which is why I included 157 wrestlers to this month's list.
CAGEMATCH matchguide is a continuous work in progress. For a match to have a 'Total Rating' on the website, it needs to have 5 ratings/votes/comments.
And while what's happening in today's wrestling gets a good amount of attention (18 matches from 'Top 100 Matches by Votes' list happened in 2021, which is very surprising to me - 8 of them happened at Wrestlemania [4+4]), contributions to matchguide about matches/events that happened in the past are always welcome.
I will post in the comments links to some matches that only recently got a rating, but those matches are in the Top 10 of some wrestlers' matchguides, so they have a pretty high rating.
Hey everyone, hope you're doing well.
It's time for another 'End of the Month' update of ranking wrestlers based on 'Average Total Rating of their Top 10 Rated Singles Matches on CAGEMATCH.net'.
415 Wrestlers now have 10+ Rated Singles Matches, and some changes were made in regard to how spreadsheet is structured:
Same goes for 'Number of Votes for Matches in the Top 10 that happened in 2021'.
It's counterintuitive, but there are some wrestlers, like Tomoaki Honma and Zeus, that were lucky to have half of their best matches against one great opponent (Tomohiro Ishii and Kento Miyahara), so obviously it was interesting how highly rated their matches against other opponents.
There are also wrestlers that I didn't expect to have less than 20 Rated Singles Matches, especially considering how revered they are, and I wanted to point that out too.
Originally this idea came after the comment that pointed out how 'weird and incorrect' it was seeing David Starr, Jordan Devlin & Ilja Dragunov in the Top 100 (it is), but it's something that 'comes with the territory', I guess - almost all of their Top 10 matches happened in Europe, and they were very well known wrestlers there for a while.
There's wrestler Ares that has surprisingly highly rated singles matches, but it's understandable based on where and when he wrestled.
Don't take this list too seriously, I just want to make people interested in contributing to the CAGEMATCH matchguide.
If I understand correctly, CAGEMATCH had the biggest amount of comments to the entries (matches, wrestlers, shows, etc) in the history of the website this month (10k+), so more people care and they're interested in contributing nowadays than ever. Matchguide is obviously not perfect, but it gets better with your contributions, every constructive and helpful comment counts and makes the difference.
Thanks for reading! If you have any suggestions, leave them in the comments.
This is the "End of 2020 Update" to this post that I did in August.
I also did this 'End of November Update' post, but you probably didn't know about it.
Things have changed since then. On December 24th, CAGEMATCH Ratings System had a few adjustments made to it. This quote summarizes these adjustments:
> The biggest change is that entries with a lower number of votes are closer to getting really good total ratings if the entries are popular. For most popular matches, with numbers in the 25-votes-and-up category, the differences are not really that dramatic.
English isn't my native language, please don't be too harsh to me.
I wanted to make more lists, write more about categories, and some other trivia, but those adjustments changed everything. Because there is A LOT of matches with 25 votes or less. Or even 50 votes or less, I think those matches also saw a noticeable difference in 'Total Rating'. A lot of matches get that 'cult following', and now, in my opinion, the number of votes a match has, matters more than ever.
'Cult followings' are now 'louder', and it's easier for a small group of passionate fans to let other fans know about a great match, creating an interest to watch these matches and leave their own vote. I think that there is some psychological effect on the difference between a match that has an 8.xx rating and a 9.xx. Maybe because they have different colors, maybe because people take these numbers too seriously, even though they are always changing. There may be some truth to it, but I don't know. Depends on a person probably.
Another thing, and maybe also that's just me, but a match with a 9.50 Rating and 250 votes feels like a more important, or even a 'better' match (means that I really should go out of my way to see that match because that's 'the talk of the town'), than a match with 9.50 Rating and 25 votes, but it's also interesting to see which matches are so well-liked by a small group of fans, why is that. It creates interest too, at least to me.
Here are some examples of matches with high ratings, but very few votes:
Since Kamen Rider is absolutely blowing up on Twitter today (950k+ tweets and counting... holy crap!!), a multitude of cast members from every corner of the franchise have made tweets celebrating the once-in-a-lifetime 50th anniversary. In fact, the official Kamen Rider site has compiled most of them already. https://www.kamen-rider-official.com/. While there's obviously no way I can track down every single rider alumni's Twitter accounts, I'm going to try my best to list down everyone who's joined in on this very special occasion by posting something on their Twitter/Instagram accounts. It's been extremely heart-warming to see that this many actors still appreciate and love their time on the show no matter how long ago it's been for some of them.

... keep reading on reddit ➡The idea of the post is to see how well different title reigns were received taking into account the match ratings of each of their title defenses. I just considered the wrestlers that were the top champions in their respective promotion/brand and were in at least 3 title matches in 2020 (including the ones in which they won and lost their title) and had at least two matches rated by users on Cagematch. I added all the ratings of the matches and got an average rating taking also into account defenses that don't have a rating due to lack of votes, but not those that were under 5 minutes long since the site doesn't allow users to rate matches below that lenght. It may be unfair to consider matches that weren't rated so I'll put the average just counting the rated matches below the final score and list of defenses.
Here's the final list, going from the worst rated champions to best:
25) Braun Strowman (WWE): 2.69
*Average just counting rated matches: 4.09
24) Eddie Edwards (Impact): 4.24
*Average just counting rated matches: 6.36
23) Rich Swann (Impact): 5.45

22) Bray Wyatt/The Fiend (WWE): 5.45
