A determined daughter has spent almost 20 years piecing together every clue she could find about the disappearance of her mother. This is Diane Theresa Francis' story, as told by her own daughter.

Hi guys! I found the following post on Facebook and I thought to bring it here because on Facebook it went unnoticed (it has only 16 'likes'). The original poster is Sherri Lynn Snider, one of the daughters of Diane Theresa Francis, a woman who vanished in thin air almost 20 years ago.

Update: Sherri is on Reddit and she is reading our comments, so if you have further questions you can talk directly to her. This is Sherri: u/ssnider0615

This being said, let's move forward.

According to Charley Project, Sherri's Mom was last seen by her daughters in Melbournce, Florida sometime in June 2003. She was arrested for trespassing in Jacksonville, Florida on November 27, 2005, and was last seen when she was released the next day. This is the last indication of her whereabouts. At the time of her disappearance, she had a "high risk" lifestyle and was transient throughout southeast Florida.

She has never been heard from again, and her daughters hired a private investigators who was unable to locate her. A former boyfriend reported Francis missing in 2015. Few details are available in her case, but her determined daughter has spent years piecing together every clue she could find.

This is Sherri Lynn's original FB post (edit: I removed the link because it breaks the sub's rules) where she tells the whole story. Maybe these details can help someone remember something and come forward with the missing pieces of this puzzle. Or maybe they can inspire the sleuths to join Sherri Lynn in her search for answers.

This is Sherri Lynn's original post, copy/pasted:

My Mother; Diane Theresa Francis

{In this document; I try my best to relive and walk you through my mother's life as I saw it and how other loved ones of hers have seen it throughout the years. They have helped me fill in the huge gaps, but there are many missing pieces that I still don't know. Remember, I was only 4 years old when the issues with Child Protective Services in Florida started and only 9 years old the last time I physically laid eyes on my mother.

My mothers legal name is Diane Theresa Francis. She was born July 7, 1968 in SomersviIle New Jersey. From what I've gathered she was like any other ordinary child but things became difficult for her growing up when her parents separated and divorced when she was only about 12 years old.

*There is some speculation that she may or may not have experienced some physical/sexual

SERIOUS: This subreddit needs to understand what a "dad joke" really means.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

A Christmas poem

'Twas the week before the playoffs when the Big House was closed. Not a buckeye was stirring; their hopes had been hosed. The helmets were painted and polished with care, ready for battle, and ready to wear. The fans were all nestled and snug in their beds while visions of victory danced in their heads. Mom in her jersey, and I in my cap, had just settled down with our bowl seating map. When out in the lot, there arose such a noise, that I jumped out of bed to get a glimpse of the boys. Away to the window, I flew like a flash, Rich Eisen would have been proud of my forty-yard dash. The moon, as it crested over Schembechler Hall, gave a twinge of excitement to each of us all. All of a sudden, I was in luck, Three UM busses, and the Michigan truck. The profile was striking, the familiar square jaw, It had to be Jim; yes, it was coach Harbaugh. More rapid than wideouts, all excited they came, as Jim whistled and hollered and called them by name. Now Haskins, Now Hinton, Now Corum and Gray! On JJ, on Hawkins, on Stueber, and Cade! Into the busses, they each grabbed a seat, pulled out chicken sandwiches ready to eat. As snowflakes across the runway fly, the Michigan Wolverines took off to the sky. So down to Miami, the courses they flew, with a jet full of players and Jim Harbaugh too. Then in a twinkling, you could feel the heat rise, as the Michigan nation gets after the prize. The coaches and players are ready to go, It won't be long now 'til the start of the show. Kirby was dressed all in black, gray, and red, He looked like a buckeye; I just shook my head. A bundle of cash he had flung on his back, and he looked like a booster just opening his pack. His eyes-how they twinkled, his dimples how merry, his cheeks were like roses from drinking way too much sherry. His sweet southern charm was as kind as could be as he talked about Michigan and said, let's wait and see. So the stage is all set, and we're ready to go, the playoffs are here, and I'm ready to crow. Our offense is good, and the defense is primed, so "why not us" it could be our time.

In preseason picks, we weren't to be found, but each new opponent felt our ground and pound. Early predictions gave way to the wins, The players and coaches showed they were all in. So the AD and boosters stuck with Jim and his crew. Who's got it better than us? I guess Jim really knew. Noooobody!

Merry Christmas! Go Blue!

How did we get here Chapter 6

It had been a few days since the party,a lot had happened, when the people showed up in Houston it had raised a lot of alarms in Cherise’s fathers head. Now, they were sitting around the table in the little house in Fort Worth, John, Carrie, Samual, and Rosanna. Samual and Rosanna were Cherise’s parents. Brandon, Cherise, and Celeste were in the kitchen heating up leftovers for dinner.

β€œWe left to come as soon as they left our house and they were down the road,” Sam said looking at his drink.

β€œWhen they showed up we thought the kids were in some kind of trouble. We didn’t realize that the world was in trouble,” Sam leaned back in his chair and looked in the kitchen, β€œSorry for thinking ill of you B.”

β€œIt’s ok Sam, I’d probably have thought the same thing to be honest. It’s not like they gave us any time to call you and let you know you would be getting visitors,” Brandon called back.

β€œThe boys were on duty when they got pulled into their CO’s office I guess,” Said Sam. β€œThey were relieved of their duty so they could come to us. Whoever is pulling the strings has a lot of juice.”

β€œNATO is holding things together with the old military guards, but you already know that. When things are this coordinated and specific people are targeted for inclusion it tells me that there probably isn’t a lot of time to get things together. A rush job to hurry up and wait and I hate waiting,” said Carrie.

β€œI don’t know what to think,” said Rosanna. β€œI’m a religious person…. You know that. The Bible says that there will be a second coming and those who truly believe will be chosen and brought to heaven………I’ve been praying to god that this is just a dream, but it’s turning into a nightmare.”

Samual leaned over and pinched Rosanna with a laugh and looked to John with a wink, β€œRosey, you might need to find a new religion.”

β€œThe boys think this is exciting but you know as well as I do that shit don’t go down this easy John,” Sam continued. β€œWe old army guys know that when the brass is involved shit flows down hill quickly and we are usually at the bottom.”

β€œAgreed Brother, we’ve been going back and forth about it since the sit down with the brass. Momma is all beam me up. So are the kids. Me, I’m not so sure,” John looked at Carrie. β€œWe’ve been going around in circles and we can keep coming back to the same things. the secret. Sounds like they want us to cut and run, and I’m not about running. My knees are gone and so is my back. But if war is com

A "FORUM" Story : I Had To Be Ready

I Had To Be Ready
In recent months we have had frequent rainfall that left my yard soaking wet.Β  Even with a few sunny days, I still have standing water in low areas.Β  I had hoped to mow the grass but couldn’t, so I decided to do some puttering with the patio.

The pathway to the patio is one of those low, muddy areas in the yard.Β  I thought I should put down some stepping-stones, but didn’t want to spend money on that right now.Β  At this point I spotted a stack of bricks at the edge of the patio, which gave me the idea that I could lay bricks for the path.Β  When I got my tools and started digging, the ground was just right---wet, but not too wet.Β  I thought it would take quite a while for me to place several bricks, but once I got started, it was easy for me to lay five rows.

I reflected as I worked that this was much like working the Twelve Steps.Β  I had to be ready, like the ground was, before I could work effectively.Β  My Higher Power is the one who prepared me for the work, the same way He prepared the ground.Β  When I started laying the bricks, I was a little awkward with the tools, but the more I worked, the more effective I became.Β  It is the same with my work on the Twelve Steps.Β  The tools of the program seemed awkward and unnatural at first, but with continued use, they helped me create a beautiful life.Β  Now I have a path to my patio, but more importantly, I have a pathway to recovery.

These aren't dad jokes...

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.

If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.

Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

The Christmas Eve Incident At Stonewood Park Mall

Transcript of episode 42 of the Small Town Lore podcast by Autumn Driscoll, titled β€˜The Christmas Eve Incident At Stonewood Park Mall’

Originally aired on December 24th, 2020. Advertisements were excluded, as they were not considered relevant. Narration was originally provided by Autumn Driscoll, except where noted.

On December 24th, 1982 at Stonewood Park Mall in Stonewood Ohio, Police were called to deal with a robbery that quickly devolved into a bizarre and bloody mystery. A mystery that to this day, has never truly been solved. As today itself is Christmas Eve, I thought it would be worth it to look back at what happened that day, to speak to the people who were really there and let them tell their story. Today, we’re looking at the Christmas Eve incident at Stonewood Park Mall.

I’m Autumn Driscoll and this is Small Town Lore.

As of 2020, Stonewood Park Mall no longer stands but between 1973 and 2007 it was the largest shopping center in the town of Stonewood Ohio. With a Sears and Target amongst its main attractions, the mall also boasted several jewelry stores, a robust food court and numerous other storefronts and services during its almost 35 year lifespan.

Most of the younger residents of Stonewood either don’t recall, or don’t know about what happened there on Christmas Eve of 1982. But if you ask some of the people who were around to witness it, they’ve got stories to tell. Matthew Bowen, who has lived in Stonewood since 1966 said this when I spoke to him about that night.

Bowen: Christ, it was all over the news back then. What a mess… I don’t think I’ve ever seen something quite like that in this town. Stonewoods quiet. Not a lot of problems. Good community. So when something like that happens… Christ… If you’d asked me then, I’d have told you I didn’t think it was possible.

Driscoll: What do you remember from the day in question? December 24th.

Bowen: *Me personally? I don’t suppose I recall much… I… I had visited the mall a few days later, after they’d reopened. Only part of it. Half the damn place was sectioned off with police tape. I remember that there were people looking over at the scene of where everything had happened. There wasn’t much to see I don’t think, not really. They had taken the bodies away and cleaned up most of the blood. But there were still some signs of what had happened. Broken glass, things had been torn apart. It was… It looked like something from a movie. I’ve never s

Calumet Sheriff Jerry Pagel and District Attorney Ken Kratz intentionally misled the public about Manitowoc Sheriffs Department Involvement

The issue surrounding Manitowoc county sheriffs depart involvement has always been the LIES told by law enforcement and district attorneys about their actual role. The fact is that the Manitowoc county coroner was banned-someone whose office had zero involvement in the 85 investigation yet the Manitowoc county sheriff's department who WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR the wrongful conviction and at the time of Teresa's disappearance former and still active officers were in the midst of depositions for a civil suit in which the named defendants were Manitowoc County as a whole and former Manitowoc County Sheriff Tom Kocourek and former District Attorney Denis Vogel specifically.

Now Calumet County Sheriff Jerry Pagel and District Attorney Ken Kratz many times told the media that Manitowoc County was recused or kept at arms length (LOL). [Here is an article discussing the intentional misleading statements made by Pagel and Kratz.]([https://www.postcrescent.com/story/news/2016/01/26/experts-investigators-tainted-avery-case/79065166/](https://www.postcrescent.com/story/news/2016/01/26/experts-investigators-tainted-avery-case/79065166/)

*""The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department’s role in this investigation was to provide resources for us when they were needed,” then-Calumet County Sheriff Jerry Pagel told the media in 2005. β€œAs we needed items on the property to conduct searches, they provided that piece of equipment and that’s their role and their only role in this investigation."*

*Special prosecutor Ken Kratz echoed Pagel’s remarks, saying β€œthe Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department and other law enforcement community was very sensitive to any appearance at all of conflict."*

Can we all just say that this was a clear attempt to control the narrative and distract the media from the fact that Manitowoc officers not only were all over the crime scene they were attached to every single piece of evidence used to imply a crime was committed.;

Below are some of the officers who were deposed and still active at the time of the Halbach case many were involved in the investigation:
