A list of puns related to "Sestao River Club"
Wanted to share a brief history of my Seastao River Club save. I initially set this up to be a journeyman game, where I would gradually manage better teams, but due to having difficulty upgrading teams (my reputation or whatever), I've ended up staying the distance at Sestao, and now I'm quite firmly entrenched in my mission to take them to the very top.
I am at a point where in 4 of the past 5 seasons, we have qualified for Champion's League. Three of those were from 4th spot, some way off the pace. Last season was the best one so far, with my team finishing second. Still 7 points off the winning Barcelona team, but 7 points ahead of Atletico, and 9 ahead of Real Madrid (who had won the previous two seasons).
It was a good season in general. We scored a mammoth 102 goals...but conceded 57...defence of course being the issue there. One match we were 3-0 behind after 7 minutes. It was 3-3 at half time, only for use to concede again immediately after the HT break...but we're getting there. The team is gradually being improved.
Despite the improvements, I believe the league may still be years in the making, and we haven't passed the quarter finals in the Champion's League, usually being knocked out in the first knockout round.
Here is an album of some of Sestao's most talented youngsters and most proven stars. It's worth noting, I have posted my Chelsea stars a while back. These players have nothing on my Chelsea team...for obvious reasons...but I'm proud I've built the team up enough to get players of this quality.

Edit: I suppose it's also worth mentioning....the club's facilities are trapped in the past. I'm trying to improve it all, but it's a slow process. There's a stadium upgrade going on at the moment, after which it will be up to over 30,000 which will help. Training and youth facilities are mediocre, but fortunately I have good coaches.

-77' Keita got sent off, only 10 minutes after coming in.
Mena got sent off again (second time this season). Apparently today's match was awful. Second lose on a row, we have to see what happens in the next matches. Team is not looking as good as it was at the beginning.

> “I don’t like gushing over another guy, but what he did last year was amazing. ... They lost back-to-back games in the playoffs, he struggled at the free-throw line. He goes on the road. He has 20,000 people counting [the seconds before his free throws] — hell, we were counting when we played him — and then he takes that to the last two games. He’s the most dominant player in the NBA. He makes free throws. He was defiant, almost.
> That’s what I liked about him. He’s just defiant. “I know I’m not making free throws. I’m still going to keep driving. I’m still going to keep attacking. I’m going to still step up to the free-throw line and eventually I’m going to make them.’
>”He may have been the only one who believed that at times. But the fact that he had a fan club of one was probably the reason he is who he is.”
Doc had high praise for Giannis and all he has done for the Bucks, as well as his dominant performance during the finals, and overcoming his free throw struggles to keep playing hard. Maybe a little bit of a shot at Simmons? /s
Hello 2022! Let's get one final ride in, before the snowstorms come.
This coming Thursday (1/6/22) we will be riding along the beautiful Hudson River Greenway, from West 77th St to the George Washington Bridge by 181 St, just under 7 miles total. Scenic nighttime views are guaranteed.
The route is Citibike friendly, and there is easy access to the A train at the destination.
Meet on the sidewalk opposite the Citibike stand, at the intersection of Riverside Drive and West 77th Street (40.783948, -73.983532) at 18:45, to start riding at 19:00.
Open to ideas on post ride activities, personally was thinking of going to Fresco Pizza for a tasty slice or two.
Hope to see you all there!
