There's a student in my class who acts like he's the smartest asshole around. I'm sick of him. He constantly brags about his accomplishments and reminds the rest of the class about how good he is constantly. A few days ago, our teacher wanted to have some fun at the end of class and told us to pick out a Kahoot game subject. We chose Percy Jackson, it's a book at least 60% of the class had already read and the others had probably heard enough about it from the rest of us to keep up. Well, the aforementioned classmate won. An acquaintance of mine got second place, and I got third. It sucked for everyone else, including the teacher who had clearly had enough of the kids bullshit and was close to manually muting him. He even named himself "Imagine Losing" before the game because he could neeevvvverrr imagine losing. So yeah. We were all pissed. I was tired of him being a self-absorbed little boy. I think the moment I knew what I was gonna do was when the classmate started going off about how spectacular he was, how there were a few questions that would have confused everyone else, but not him! He's just so amazing. Yeah, no. A minute before dismissal, I unmuted myself, tapped my finger against my headphones' mic to get everyones attention, and said "[Classmate], shut the hell up." Then I left the room. I just left. I'm so, so satisfied. He didn't say anything at all day yesterday because of it! Not a thing! I hope his grade isn't lowered or anything though, I just wanted him to get a taste of his own medicine. What a dickhead.
I'd also like to note that the person doesn't have any mental/learning disabilities that explain why he behaved this way. If there were I would think it was whatever, maybe a bit annoying but still. He's just an overconfident ass who doesn't think anyone else could ever be as intelligent or talented as him, and I was tired of his shit. I plan to outwit him in a Kahoot game some day as well, that'd knock him down a couple more pegs, especially since I'm a girl.
