Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club PGA DFS Picks
This week weβre back on the east coast in Greensboro, NC, where JT Poston will be defending his 2019 win. Sedgefield Country Club is one of the easier courses on the PGA Tour. It is a par 70, 7100 yards designed by Donald Ross played on Bermuda greens. The course has only three par 4βs that measure over 450 yards with a bogey average of 19%. And thatβs about it. Holes 5, 8, 9, 13, 15 and 16 have a 25-50% chance in smashing birdies. The key is not ending up in a fairway bunker off the tee, this is when accuracy will come into play this week. But in general this event will be a birdie fest. Alright, letβs get to it.
Important Stats:

Sad to see the last major pass us by, but that doesn't mean PGA is done. We have a weak field this weekend, hopefully we can find some value using our PGA spreadsheet.
Here it is: http://www.jockstrapsports.com/pga/pga-weekly-spreadsheet/
Theyβre sweet, safe, and a handful so let me know if youβre looking for them. Tomorrow theyβll be getting microchipped and then placed with a no-kill shelter if we canβt find the owners.
Any thoughts welcome, please! I am new to the area and want to get a feel for these neighborhoods :)

Hey guys
My roommate and I are considering a move to a property near the West Club Blvd / Sedgefield St area in between Northgate and NCSSM. We're going to check out the area at night ourselves, but would like anyone's advice about this. We've tried to look at crime stats but have only learned there is a fair amount of theft in the past 9 months in the area, but seems like there is not too much violent crime at least.
Is it safe enough during the day as well as at night? W are young females aged 22-25 and look young for our ages - and might come home late at times and have to park around the back side of the building.
Any and all advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks!
Hello, r/baseball! Iβve been doing some research on Baseball Reference, and I decided to make a post listing which countries have produced the most 100 home run hitters.
According to Baseball Reference, 961 players in Major League history have reached the milestone of 100 home runs. There are members of the club from 19 different countries (counting PR, Aruba, and CuraΓ§ao as their own countries). Hereβs the list, plus each countryβs top home run hitter listed in parentheses.
797 - United States (Barry Bonds)
50 - Dominican Republic (Albert Pujols)
36 - Puerto Rico (Carlos Delgado)
31 - Venezuela (Miguel Cabrera)
16 - Cuba (Rafael Palmeiro)
9 - Canada (Larry Walker)
4 - Panama (Carlos Lee)
3 - Mexico (Vinny Castilla)
2 - Curaçao (Andruw Jones)
2 - Jamaica (Chili Davis)
2 - Japan (Hideki Matsui)
2 - Colombia (Γdgar RenterΓa)
1 - United Kingdom (Bobby Thompson)
1 - South Korea (Shin-Soo Choo)
1 - Aruba (Xander Bogaerts)
1 - Netherlands (Didi Gregorius)
1 - Germany (Max Kepler)
1 - Brazil (Yan Gomes)
1 - Australia (Dave Nilsson)
Another interesting way to break the 961 players down is by continent:
920 - North America (Barry Bonds)
34 - South America (Miguel Cabrera)
3 - Europe (Bobby Thompson)
3 - Asia (Shin-Soo Choo)
1 - Oceania (Dave Nilsson)
A 100 HR hitter has come from every continent except Africa, which has only produced one Major League hitter - Gift Ngoepe of South Africa, who never hit a home run in his 41-game MLB stint. He now plays for the QuΓ©bec Capitales of the Frontier League. I hope baseball will continue to grow in Africa, and that weβll see some African countries show up on this list in the coming years.
Any big surprises with these numbers? I know the actual lists here are pretty short, so I tried to fill the post with some additional content to make up for it. I spent way too much time collecting this data, so I hope you enjoy!
I live a few hundred yards down the street from a club. Golf membership is $600/mo, social is $250/mo. Social gets access to the pool but its only open memorial day thru labor day. I golf a few times a year but i'm no good. We have winter here so no golf from Nov thru Mar. I think there is an in-between membership that gets like 10 rounds of golf/year. I'm thinking these would be tough checks to stroke in the middle of winter, unless the social aspect is worth it. My wife & I are 40ish with not much to do during the day when kids are in school.
Hi guys.
We're going on our honeymoon in September to Sedgefield/garden route.
But i don't know the area. Any recommendations for restaurants and stuff to do?
I don't want to just lay on the beach the whole week.
We already booked to walk with elephants and a boat trip to look for seals.
But any other cool stuff?

A few years ago, someone pointed out that the Denver Country Club doesn't pay their fair share in taxes:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Denver/comments/iuqmc9/denver_county_club_doesnt_pay_their_fair_share/
I recently checked the Denver real property map, and it looks like the taxes are about the same, and nothing has changed.
Did anything come of this that I am unaware of? Or is it just another example of another set of rules for the wealthy.
US submitter here, they have about a 50% rejection rate, despite the fact that they are easily identifiable buildings that serve as the social hub of their community. I just donβt get it.
Artist: Lana Del Rey
Album: Chemtrails Over the Country Club
Released: March 19, 2021
Label: Polydor Records & Interscope Records
Stream: Apple Music / Spotify / Tidal / Amazon Music
Lizzie Grant aka Lana del Rey started mentioning the project in August 2019, under the provisional name "White Hot Forever", around the same time Norman Fucking Rockwell was released, announcing it would be a surprise release within the "next 12 or 13 months". She would announce the release of the album for September 5, 2020, in her infamous "question for the culture" Instagram post; however, due to manufacturing issues (and a lot of other things probably being part of the glamorous life of Lana del Rey), the album ended up being released in the first quarter of 2021 instead.
The ideation and songwriting process happened simultaneously with the writing of Lana's poetry book, Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass, which she mentioned was a distracting process. In the same interview, she mentions being stressed about the genres of the album, which see her moving away from the polish of Norman Fucking Rockwell, reaching instead for a folkier, more country sound. Straying away from her beloved muse California, she casts her eye towards the Midwest, finding inspiration in the wildness, where "thereβs still space to catch that white lightning".
The album follows a circular structure, in which the past informs the present and gives shape to the future; Lana herself described the record as "not so much where Iβve been, but more like where Iβm going". Yet, she's always going to bring herself, no matter where she goes. The overarching themes of the album see her pondering about her relationship with fame, from past to present, and where it will lead her; on her desire for normalcy while wanting to follow her wild heart; on moving past relationships to find solace amongst
... keep reading on reddit β‘I've just spent a ridiculous amount of time watching youtube videos about what wealthy people spend their money on. This was one of the few things that piqued my interest. It also struck me as something that might be a little more affordable than the rest. I just wanted to know your thoughts on what your experiences have been like.
Edit - Thanks very much for the responses so far. I just felt I needed to step in to say that I don't idolise the rich. I'm simply curious about the possible benefits of the types of clubs I mentioned.
Thanks.
Iβm getting married in February at a county club my fiancΓ©βs parents belongs to. The club has a strict dress code in their dining area, even for events. Jacket, ties and slacks/khakis for men, dresses or slacks/khakis and a blouse for women. Kids are dresses, slacks and nice shirts, no logos.
I put this on the save the date in case itβd be an issue. Keep in mind, itβs not a rule I created. My younger sister is in college, and her standard outfit is basketball shorts and a t-shirt. I told her she didnβt have to wear a dress but slacks or khakis and a nice top. She told me no. I said it was strictly enforced. She said she didnβt care. I told her that itβd mean a great deal to me and I could help her find something comfy. She still refused. I asked why this was so important and she said she thinks dress codes are stupid and sheβs not conforming. In the end after constant back and forth, she said sheβs not coming. I said that really upset me. Weβre very close and I wanted her there.
My mom says I should just change the venue. I told her we canβt with how close the wedding is. My in-laws paid for it and theyβd lose their deposit. She told me then I should ask for an exception to be made. The club said no. My mom says Iβm forgetting my roots to impress my βfancyβ in-laws.
AITA?
Okay, so I have this fantasy that BB and COCC were released as one polished album with absolutely no skips. So letβs imagine that Lanaβs label wouldnβt let her release 2 albums in 2021, but 1 album. So she was forced to combine the two with the best of best.
