A list of puns related to "Sechs Kies"
(yes i used the who's instead of whose in the title shhh)
If by chance you play Superstar YG, you might have heard of Sechs Kies. Or, if you don't play the game but happen to watch Korean variety shows, you might know Eun Jiwon. However, if you don't know who they are, Sechs Kies are one of the 1st generation boy groups in K-pop, debuting under DSP in 1997 almost as direct competition to the success of SM's group H.O.T.
They were incredibly successful, though I would like to mention that while they disbanded back in 2000, in 2016 they reunited under YG (hence their appearance on Superstar YG).
Now, Sechs Kies had a lot of early on success, getting a first win pretty early on in their career and continuing to have pretty much one win per comeback til they disbanded. But recently, I fell down the rabbit hole of listening to some of their songs and to be perfectly honest, if I had nothing known the two songs I started without were Sechs Kies songs, I honestly would have assumed they were two different artists completely.
Here's a performance of their song, Chivalry, from 1998. It's a very energetic dance track, the intro is...questionable at best (who knows how it got past censorship honestly), and honestly it's just pretty energetic and intense overall.
But then let's glance at another one of their songs, Letting You Go, from just about a year later. Now, this song was one of the two title tracks they were promoting at the time but it's a completely different sound from what I had come to expect from the group. A soft ballad full of longing, and absolutely no intense dances can be seen here.
While of course groups have many concepts, it was shocking to me to see one of most well-known dance groups, who's entire discography was full of energetic songs, to go in a totally opposite direction.
Overall, Sechs Kies nowadays has been leaning more towards this softer vibe in general rather than their more intense, dance-heavy concepts of their beginnings (and perhaps that's the best, considering Jiwon's opening lol) but still, sometimes I miss those days of crazy intense dances.

Hi everyone and welcome to another Throwback Thursday! This week we are celebrating Sechs Kies on their debut anniversary.
Sechs Kies are a first-generation boys group that debuted on 15th April 1997 under DSP Entertainment. They are regarded as one of the first highly successful Kpop groups and were pioneers in fandom culture. Whilst they did disband on 20th May 2000 they regrouped on 10th Mat 2016 and signed under YG on 14th April. The current members are Eun Jiwon, Lee Jaljin, Kim Jaeduck, and Jang Suwon. Ex-members are Kang Sunghoon and Ko Jiyong.
Their disbandment came as a shock to the public as it was done at the height of their career. This was a decision made by the members themselves.
Their reunion was a guerilla reunion concert through the program "Infinite Challenge". The concert was only announced 5 hours before the start time and still, over 6000 fans attended.
Feel free to share more about this group below! We look forward to seeing your favourite performances, any fun trivia, favourite song etc.

The classroom, which is the first regular part of the show, has the guests ask personal questions about themselves for the cast members to answer. The humour is quite direct and the cast members don't hold back much.
>The second regular part, which is sometimes cut when there are a large numbers of guests is the skit. They are given a scenario, and works together to make an improv skit where guests stay throughout the entire scene, while cast members tag in and out. It often gets chaotic, but it's good fun. In some episodes, there are other parts included, like the physical education class.

... keep reading on reddit β‘I wasn't into kpop when they were around, but watching Infinite Challenge left me wondering why they really disbanded. I read EJW's explanation on why, but I just don't buy it.
To me it seems other than EJW and KJY, the other 4 members have a hard time getting gigs. Not to mention their relatively young age but aren't equipped with skills to make it as a non-celebrity like KJY. I'm being presumptuous here, but that's how it looks when YJS initially said the guerilla concert got cancelled because the news leaked.
So anyone has any good theories why they really disbanded? If EJW's explanation is the truth, that means they were young and foolish and thought the money they had would last them a lifetime. Or that it would be easy to get money considering their stardom at the time.
Edit: Thanks for the views guys. I didn't realize kpop-behind-the-scene is that bad. Very enlightening!

Here's the song in question from about 1:40 to 1:57
All the lyrics I found always leave that part blank.
