Good Luck to the people that will be losing their job next month at all of these auto centers. All Sears Auto Centers are Shutting and this has been confirmed through several different current operating Auto Centers via cell phone calls including the one at South Shore Plaza in Braintree, Massachusetts

Dicks Sporting Goods is taking over the former Sears Anchor spot at Ridgedale Mall in Minnetonka MN - that has been in the works for 8 - 9 months...
Now Dick's is leasing additional mall space - plus wants to convert the parking lot behind their store to an "Athletic Field" complete with 2 story fence and walking track...
Not really a "Dead Mall" but a good example of creative thinking and keeping a mall alive in the 2020's.
I know it's standard technique to refrigerate meats after the sous vide and before searing, but I feel like whenever I do this, the inside is still cool when the searing is done. Any tips?

There is not information yet on Downey, California but a store employee did confirm that the location is closing on Sunday, November 14th, 2021 with employees be infomred about the closure yesterday

Today is the final day for operation for the last remaining Sears store in the greater Raleigh area with SB360 Capital Partners, LLC Concluding Liquidation Sales Today. This store opened as an original anchor in 2002 and will now be closing today which Sunday, October 10th, 2021. The next round of closings will happen on Sunday, November 14th, 2021. But is subject to change if there anymore sudden closure or there are new announcements

I remember going there when I was like 5 with my parents a lot and getting clothes and hardware supplies from there. Tbh I liked it better when it was a sears compared to the new mixed use development currently in its place as its caused a lot of traffic and it was convenient to have that sears.
From the article: A portion of a shopping mall in northeast Raleigh has sold for $5.85 million, according to Wake County deed records. The Sears location at Triangle Town Center off Capital Boulevard south of Interstate 540 has been purchased by Chapel Hill-based Blue Empire LLC, according to the records.
