POTENTIAL HEADLINERS
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Edit: Yeah, fuckup the tittle flatter than hammered shit.
Was wondering if any limber dick cocksucka could point me in the right direction? I'm wanting to buy the Blu Ray Box set with all the Behind The Scenes features mentioned below. I need to buy it for Australia (which I believe is Region B). The following text is taken from a Blu Ray review of a box set called "Deadwood: The Complete Series" but when I search, I find "Deadwood: The Ultimate Collection" which does not say if it has the extra content. Thanks in advance.
Audio Commentaries with the Cast and CrewΒ β Seventeen episode commentaries are offered throughout the three seasons of the show, including βDeadwoodβ with creator David Milch, βHere Was a Manβ with Keith Carradine and Molly Parker, βThe Trial of Jack McCallβ with Brad Dourif and Robin Weigert, βSold Under Sinβ with Ian McShane and Timothy Olyphant, βA Lie Agreed Uponβ with Molly Parker and Anna Gunn, βA Lie Agreed Uponβ with Ian McShane and Timothy Olyphant, βComplicationsβ with Gregg Fienberg, βNew Moneyβ with David Milch, βE.B. Was Left Outβ with Kim Dickens, William Sanderson, Dayton Callie and a separate one with Powers Boothe and Garret Dillahunt, βAdvances, None Miraculousβ with John Hawkes and Paula Malcomson, βThe Whores Can Comeβ with Timothy Olyphant and Anna Gunn, βThe Whores Can Comeβ with Ian McShane and Paula Malcomson, βTell Your God to Ready for Bloodβ with Gregg Fienberg and Mark Tinker, βA Two-Headed Beastβ with Jim Beaver, Sean Bridgers and W. Earl Brown, βAmatuer Nightβ with Robin Weigert, and βTell Him Something Prettyβ with David Milch. Β These have a lot of good info but the best ones are the ones with Olyphant and McShane who have a lot of laughs together and listening to them is a lot of fun.
Making Deadwood: The Show Behind the ShowΒ β Re-purposed from season one, this is a generic overview of the show from David Milch and Gregg Fienberg host this featurette where they discuss their motivations, theΒ historical accuracy, the story, the characters, the dialogue of the show, and how it all comes together.
The Real Deadwood βΒ A look back at the actual history behind the town of Deadwood that was real interesting to me, but then again I love history.
The New Language of the Old WestΒ β Β KeithΒ CarradineΒ (Wild Bill Hickok) interviews David Milch in this humorousΒ featuretteΒ to discuss the language of the show and the reasons for it and what purpose it serves.
An Imaginative RealityΒ β Another talk between KeithΒ Ca

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π

Hi! About this time last year, I posted a thread on this lovely subreddit that recommended a ton of media items for newcomers to our community and/or those who are struggling to find their own individual voice. And, seeing that this subreddit has since considerably grown and my own knowledge as a newbie is now slightlyΒ more advanced, it seems like a good time to post an updated list.
Feel free to contribute and add your own favourites, especially as I'm British and this list is arguably a tad biased towards theΒ UK! ;) As always, please take care, particularly if you're struggling to deal with your mental health and/or sexuality, and also please continue to stay safe and well, especially if you live in an area with high Covid rates and/or a slowΒ vaccination rollout. :) *hugs*

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
I understand that David Milch has Alzheimer's now, and most likely couldn't be apart of it. But perhaps with his blessing, a team of writers could write the dialogue. No, of course it wouldn't be the same without the legendary Milch, but it's a spin-off, not Deadwood. I could honestly see a spin-off about Dan, and Johnny, running the Gem, after Al passing away. W. Earl Brown, and Sean Bridgers, don't seem to get much work these days, and I could definitely see them accepting an offer to do a show. They could simply title it "The Gem" if Hostetler never passed during Deadwood, I would've loved to have seen a spin-off about him, and N word General. Anyone else have some thoughts on this?
When I got home, they were still there.
What did 0 say to 8 ?

So What did 3 say to 8 ?

I won't be doing that today!

This morning, my 4 year old daughter.
Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
