Alright, so to make this brief, over the past few hours I’ve been debating with this guy on a comment thread about how “original” Manson is. His argument is that he ripped off several other artists from the way the band sounds, to his stage acts, to even his persona/look. He then cited various artists such as Al Jourgensen, Nivek Ogre, Trent Reznor, Brad Stewart, and Daisy (Scott Putesky) claiming that Manson ripped either them or other artists off. However, I told him he was lying as I couldn’t find any quotes verifying that by any of them. He then claimed that “no one thinks he’s original”.
Now while we all know that the band has taken influence from Cooper, Bowie, Floyd, etc, but is it true that they stole compositions, riffs, etc?

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
