I always thought it was weird the huge reaction he got when he first appeared in the episode where Jesse seems like he is going to resume his daredevil days from high school. Was he really that popular? I don't think so. He was sort of the low guy on the Totem Pole in Happy Days. And Joanie Loves Chachi was one of the more infamous flops in television history. I also never found him to be particularly good looking either (and he's certainly pretty nutty these days, not to mention a possible pervert). When he appeared at the front door, ladies were screaming at him like he was Justin Bieber.

In the s4 episode, the writers have GOB make a joke about Tony Wonder being as straight as Bob Loblaw at the high school prom and that he βlikes them youngβ, which is supposed to be a joke about the fact that Baio has so many sexual assault charges from young victims.
Is there something Iβm missing? This doesnβt feel like something they would joke about, or at the very least something the writers seem like theyβd feel they couldnβt get away with without inviting criticism from viewers.
Are the charges like famously false or something to the point where it became a joke? Because they definitely would never have treated Tamborβs allegations like that. Iβm confused.
