A list of puns related to "Scotiabank Theatre"
Giving gave away two free tickets to see Spiderman: No Way Home this Thursday (release day!) at Scotiabank Theatre. Viewing's at 4:30pm and the they're general tickets, but the seats are good.
Unfortunately I can't make it anymore and the tickets are nonrefundable. So, if you want 'em, they're yours!
Shoot me a DM if you're interested.
Taken! Enjoy the show u/Psychological_Form15**.**
It used to hang over the much maintained escalators. Genuinely curious of itβs fate.
Iβm going to see it regardless, but havenβt yet had the opportunity. If anyone wants to join in, Iβm open to the 6:45pm or 10:15pm show on the 4th of December.
I bought them online and itβs like 3 hours on the phone with customer service to return them so I figured Iβd try and see if someone can make use of them.
Going to see a movie next week and looking for any hidden gems within 10 minutes walking distance of the theatre. Not into the "King St" vibe, I prefer something cozy (but not Aloette because I want to try something new). I've already tried Byblos and wasn't super impressed. Not in the mood for Pai.
I have three tickets to the 9:45 PM show tonight (Mon 13 Sep) that I cannot use, and that cannot be refunded/exchanged. First claimant gets the PDF DM'd to 'em with my compliments.
As of 8:30 PM, the relevant auditorium has 15 seats sold of 372.
edit: Theyβre taken! Enjoy the show.
Hi,
Was trying to book an IMAX screening of Dune for next week and there are no times after Sunday. Apparently nothing playing on IMAX at all. Other formats have screenings past Sunday. I can't find anything as to why and I'm worried that this is because of the planned tower development at this location, and this is just quietly the end of this IMAX screen. Does anyone have some real actual facts on this?
I've tried calling the theatre, no way to speak with someone. I've searched for details on the break ground of the development, can't find anything.
Help!

Been there for years, I only noticed it after waking up to the symbols freaking EVERYWHERE.
FYI the escalator is a massive one up after paying entry and goes straight into the cube. No doubt some sort of ritual, rising up then passing through the cube on the way to the theatres.
You exit off the escalator roughly in the dead centre of that cube before moving into the main theatre complex.
Hi π
[Please remove this post if not relevant - not directly related to this year's festival].
I'm a francophone in Toronto and I am a bit upset that the offering for franco films in Toronto is so limited. That's why I pitched an idea to Cineplex to invite them to bring more French-language releases in Toronto.
It went pretty well and we have arranged two pilot screenings of Kaamelott, a French medieval adventure comedy written and directed by Alexandre Astier (David et Madame Hansen starring Isabelle Adjani, and two Asterix animated features). The film is a hit in France with already more than 2 million tickets sold.
The film takes place after the events of the beloved TV series (although you do not need to have seen the show to enjoy the movie).
King Arthur's former friend and companion Lancelot has become a tyran since Arthur's attempted suicide. The resistance, led by former knights of the Round Table, is fighting a reign of terror. Ten years after his departure, Arthur is back: will he manage to lead the rebels and to bring peace to the Kingdom?
I am also convinced that non-francophone cinephiles would be interested in having the opportunity to see new releases that usually only show in Quebec. That's why we will be showing the movie with English subtitles. So, if your curious, I invite you to join us on tomorrow (Sunday 29) or on Monday to watch this film with us at the Scotiabank Theater (Richmond St W). Hopefully these pilot showings will be a success and I'll be able to bring more French-language movies for special events like this one.

Looking forward to seeing some of you there!
TIFF's website makes no mention of the ScotiaBank theatres.
Obviously they've had problems with people speeding through here because the new speed bumps they put in are absolutely massive.
I'm looking for the best experience for Tenet, without having to travel to another city. Read that the Scotiabank IMAX screen was a LieMAX, i.e. not up to the real IMAX standards that gave this format its reputation and just got enough to have the brand name.
Has anyone been? I noticed this as an option for Train to Busan Peninsula (sequel to Train to Busan), and I wondered if anyone has been and how watchable is the movie in that format? I love the IMAX screen, but not sure how a curved three screen would work?
Like the Staples Center and MSG, arena lights are dimmed over the fans while theyβre on over the court.
Iβve always thought this would be pretty awesome to see.
They were being interviewed on the red carpet but can't find posted interviews yet anywhere. Peep @marvelstudioscanada on IG.
I'm looking at tickets for when Godzilla comes out at the end of the month, and was considering going to the Landmark Theatre in Kanata over the Scotiabank Theatre. It's about a 7-10 minute difference in drive, with the Landmark being farther away, and I was wondering if there was any discernible difference between the two, and if the extra drive to Landmark is worth it?
Hey guys,
So I've got 2 tickets to Endgame for this coming Sunday at 1030 pm that I want to sell. I apologise if I'm not allowed to sell on here or if I'm breaking any rules.
I will be at the screening as well but sitting in a different row with my friends. Long story short, purchased two tickets to go with my cousin. He bailed on me. Found two other friends that were down to go and had to rebook tickets. I then realized I cannot refund my other set of tickets.
I don't even care about getting all my money back (just want them off my hands) so I'm just looking for 15 bucks a ticket. I paid close to 20 each.
Tickets are for Row G 25 and 26.
Haven't been able to locate any stores or restaurants that carry it anymore. Altho many places still have other beers from fullers.
I'm thinking of going to the Scotiabank theatre in Toronto to watch Avengers Endgame and I'm wondering what isle and seat number would you recommend for the best viewing. Also would you recommend 3D or Regular 2D IMAX. Thanks

Cineplex Scotiabank Theatre Toronto is back with a 9 film (3 Trilogy) Star Wars Marathon, including Rise of Skywalker. $59.99 before taxes. Regular screen theatre, like the MCU marathon. Tickets also include
commemorative pin and blanket, and a special concession offer
Rough eyeballing, and the theatre looks 30-35% sold out already.
If you want to attend the PlayStation E3 Experience, tickets will be available beginning at 10am PT/1pm ET tomorrow, May 30 through PlayStation.com/E3experience for those in the US and Canada. Tickets are free, and youβll need to create a free Gofobo account to get one. Sony adds that you must be 17 years of age or older to attend the event, and, since seating is done on a first-come, first-served basis until the theater reaches capacity, βreceiving a ticket does not guarantee you a seat.β Read more at http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2017/05/29/free-playstation-e3-experience-2017-tickets-go-tomorrow-theater-list-revealed/#HduvmSIRLKEVhj1O.99
I'd like to purchase Infinity War tickets seating at the back, but I'm just wondering what the empty blank seat space is here. I tried calling the theatre but it seems most of the options are automated messages and not a direct line to the employees there. For those who frequent our IMAX theatre, is it an imaginary divider or a protrusion of the theatre subwoofer by any chance?
1 ticket giving away for free.
I just got back from seeing Arrival at SilverCity at Blair (7:40pm showing, Friday November 19), and the audio was absolutely awful. So I was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing atrocious audio at the movie theatre lately.
I know this'll probably make me sound like an old man, but I find every movie I've seen there lately has been incredibly loud. Like unpleasantly loud. To the point where action scenes actually sound like distorted noise. The speakers themselves - especially the subwoofers - sound like they're about to blow, depending on what theatre you're in. As for the sound at my movie tonight, the front speakers had almost no bass whatsoever and it sounded like all the dialogue was coming through a phone line. Thankfully, most of the dialogue happens over intercom/microphone so it wasn't too bad.
Has anyone else had issues with the audio at SilverCity? And are there other cinemas in Ottawa with good or at least better sound?
P.S. If you're a fan of really heady sci-fi, go see Arrival.
