A list of puns related to "Scooba"
Cleaning out the garage I found our old Scooba 5900. Replaced the battery, cleaned out the tanks, cleaned the brush, filter, and port.
Now, when a cycle starts, it goes in a circle for bit, spraying cleaning solution. When it decides to change course and go in straight lines, it stops spraying solution entirely but keeps navigating around the room. I noticed when this happens, the clean light goes from green to blinking blue (the manual says green=cleaning and blinking blue=finishing up.) After about 5-10 minutes it stops, and sounds the signal and light for "Cycle Complete."
Called iRobot, they didn't have any suggestions besides what I had already tried.
This thing always cleaned miles better than the Braavas, would love to see if this is salvageable.
Is there anything else I can do? Or is this an unfixable software glitch?
Spent $800 on a Roomba 960 and M6 and still not a good as my Scooba was on tile.
I purchased a used 4210 and a Scooba 380 on FB marketplace. Seller claimed both worked fine. Well, not so much. the 4210 needs a new battery but otherwise fine. I cannibalized a battery from my Scheduler.
I removed the tank, rinsed it, and filled with fresh water. Scooba then charged for 24ish hours. I powered him up and he's spitting out the Check Tank error. When I went to remove it to clean/inspect the tank, the tank release latch seems to be stuck. Any advice on getting him to release the tank?
This is the discussion thread for Scooba & Renae episode.
At least this episode was better than the last one. It really seems like Covid is not treating the show well. HOWEVER, I do expect they're going to have to do 50 episodes a season soon as Covid is going to create a bunch of bored people who only have online relationships.
As for this episode, I feel for Her. As a white guy, I'm not judged and I can't imagine what it's like but, when you start a relationship like that based on lies, it's not going to end well. As nice and cute as she is, I'd not be able to say "Yeah, the years have been lies but, let's try to make a relationship out of it" and she is VERY cute.
I hope they do follow-ups to these episodes as they've done almost none.
My father was actually one of the first irobot employees so I remember a lot of the first vacuums they came out with.
I recently bought the M6 and I am not too happy with it... Its basically two motors on a Bissel minus the pressure bissel or swifer put on the floors.
We get streaks, it doesnt clean the spots the dog leaves with her drool etc etc.
We used to have the scooba but I think they discontinued that for a while. Any other suggestions? I am probably going to return this m6. Didnt find it worth the price.
Yes, the Scooba, not Braava! They recommend either vinegar or the now discontinued Clorox Scooba solution but I was wondering what alternatives there were. I was thinking of Bona concentrate like many of us use in our Braavas.
Edit: This can be tricky
Certain tap water (depending on where you live) does not have the
electronic conductivity necessary to activate Scooba's tank sensors.
iRobot does not recommend using other cleaning solutions with Scooba,
but you may use a dilute vinegar and water solution. You should mix
2oz. of vinegar with a full tank of water to create the conductivity
necessary to activate Scooba's tank sensors.
Clorox Scooba cleaning solution is specially formulated for use with
Scooba. Through a partnership with Clorox, we developed a cleaning
solution that has special characteristics that make it work especially
well with Scooba. These characteristics include:
Low Foam. Clorox Scooba cleaning solution does not create as much foam
as many common cleaning solutions. Scooba's cleaning system pumps a
small amount of fresh cleaning solution onto the floor. If the
solution becomes foamy inside the robot, Scooba's ability to pump the
cleaning solution is diminished.
High Traction. Clorox Scooba cleaning solution is a "high traction"
liquid. Many common cleaning solutions create a soapy, slippery film
on the floor. To maximize Scooba's ability to drive around on the
floor in areas it just cleaned, we developed a solution that does not
create this slippery film.
Conductive. Scooba's Cleaning solution, like many cleaning solutions,
is slightly conductive. By adding the solution to water, you create a
solution that Scooba's Clean tank sensors can look for. If the
robot "sees" solution in the tank, it continues cleaning. If the robot
does not see solution in the tank, it assumes that the cleaning cycle
is complete. In the event that the solution is not conductive, Scooba
cannot "see" the water in the clean tank, and it assumes that the
cycle is complete.
The Clorox Scooba cleaning solution is also formulated to be non-
corrosive to Scooba's tanks and other parts. Other cleaning solutions
can damage Scooba's electronics, especially if they foam up inside the
robot. For this reason, use of other cleaning solutions voids Scooba's
warranty.

This art design have Inspector Carmelita Montoya Fox in her skin tight (in theory) Scooba gear. And who knows? She might be wearing a bikini under her Scooba clothing.
Does anyone know why my scooba 230 does not drip a normal amount of water? It starts working normaly and all, but after a minute the water stops dripping so the floor is compleatly dry and then after a short period of time stops working. It worked really great for the past few days, bit now it does not. I also found out that the bladder is punctured but that is a common problem with this model. Im pretty sure it is just one puncture and i would be able to fix it as i can see it through the empty hole.
As a West Point native, just being 30 minutes away from Emcc and also going to school and playing ball there years before they were good. I thought it was fascinating that Netflix did a documentary on the football team and the way they portrayed the team and town was perfect. For the people that havenβt been to scooba, thatβs how the town really is. Itβs a rundown down that looks like an old movie set that nobody lives in. Pretty much just a one Road Town and at the end of the road comes this amazing football stadium. I wish theyβd go back to emcc and get the show back to being amazing
hey does anyone know how to run the diagnostic on a scooba 390 ?
Any guidance would be greatly aprecappreciatediated.
this is how you do it?
How to turn on diagnostic mode:
Hold the pause/resume button for 7 seconds and then press power button.
hey could anyone help access the built in test for the scooba 450? Or point me in the direction of a copy of the service manual.Scooba
I just bought a broken 5800 on Ebay, the latch point inside the body has broken, the pegs have come off the chassis completely. I'm assuming I can just run new bolts through the chassis and secure it that way?
Also, it doesn't come with a charger but it looks like it's just a 24v DC power supply, is that right?
Does anyone know of any affordable places to get scooba certified in the greater SC area? Itβs been a dream of mine forever and Iβd love to make it happen this summer! Iβm a student and looking for an affordable, professional resource. Thnx!!
