I know most awards show are fixed, but was there ever one that just went to the completely wrong nomination.
For example (this is entirely my opinion): Barfi did great during the 2013 season, but there are two categories I thought they definitely deserved to win that they didn't win anywhere: Best Actress for Priyanka and Best Lyrics for Sayeed Quadri for Phir Le Aya Dil. Vidya Balan was great in Kahaani, but she did not floor me as much as Priyanka did. Similarly, Amitabh Bhattacharya and Gulzar are some of the best lyricists Bollywood have right now, but lyrically it was Phir Le Aya Dil that stood out in 2012.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
