I've been using the Glow Deep serum for about a month from the brand and it has helped my dull skin a lot. Wished I took before and after photos!

I wanna know thoughts from others who have used their other serums as well.

Currently eyeing the calming serum but I'd like to hear everyone else's reviews!

P.S. my skin type is oily-combination with some dullness, i get pimples sometimes but not as harsh as before and I have dark spots that are healing

Hola peeps, today I'm reviewing the products stated in the title of this post. A bit of info before I proceed further:

Here's my taken on each:

1. Isntree Green Tea Fresh Emulsion: Retails for about Rs. 1150 but got it for about Rs. 800 (quantity of 120 ml) during sale at Maccaron. Formulated for oily skin types, this emulsion claims to control excessive sebum. Contains Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Allantoin (to name a few) that are a boon for oily skin. Has a light yellowish-brown texture and a consistency akin to COSRX Oil-free Moisturizer (but lighter than that); a gooey like texture that is really light on skin. I have been using this for two weeks and am mightily impressed by it! My skin is not longer greasy and shiny for several hours, and feels very soothing post applying. One pump is enough to cover my face and I'm pretty sure that this will last for a while. I use it during AM and PM. Really worth the investment and recommend emphatically to all with oily skin type. 2. Beauty of Joseon Glow Deep Serum: Purchased for Rs. 1500 (30 ml) from Maccaron. This serum claims to possess brightening properties and work against pigmentation, being enriched with 68% rice bran water and 2% arbutin. Colorless liquid with little (rice-like) to no discernible smell. Mom (with mature and dry skin) and I have used it daily for two weeks since purchase during AM. Mom is quite happy with the results, she did notice that her skin became brighter, I too noticed the same with her. It is too premature to form an opinion on its effects on pigmentation; but mom is optimistic that this will help her with it. I too notice a subtle glow after applying this product; I have a few dark spots on my skin and will update how this product works on them. It is no doubt expensive and I wish it retailed for Rs. 900 or so. MRP if it shows more results, would also like to try TO Arbutin for the sake of comparison. Beauty of Joseon released a new Green Plum Refreshing Cleanser a few weeks ago on their website. I was wondering if anyone has tried it yet or has any opinions based on their ingredients?

I’m curious because the balm looks really luxurious and comes in a decent size (120 ml!). It has two essential oils in it, but one of them (the rosemary eo) I don’t seems to mind in a wash off product. It’s between this and the recent reformulation of the Beauty of Joseon Radiance cleansing balm (which is fragrance free).

(Sorry that this is yet another "why does X not have preservatives" question!)

I'm new to r/DIYBeauty, I've been hearing some hype about the Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream, and I just learned about preservatives. It doesn't look like any of the ingredients are preservatives according to CosDNA, *and* the product is in a jar and not a pump or even a squeeze tube. Beauty of Joseon isn't a particularly crunchy brand afaik (or at least not stereotypically US-crunchy). Does anyone know what's up? Does this product somehow not need preservatives? Are its users just slathering bacteria/mold/fungi all over their face, and somehow it is fine for a lot of people? Am I misunderstanding an ingredient or two? Is there a preservative that is secretly labeled "fragrance"?

A related but different noob question: I assume industrial skincare manufacturers have superior processes and/or ingredients compared to DIYers. What are the differences?

The Annals of Joseon Dynasty chronicled the lives of Kings of Joseon Dynasty from 1392 to 1865. It recorded everything from daily accounts to domestic and international affairs. One of the more famous accounts is when King Taejong fell off his horse and told the recorder not to write about how he fell off a horse. The recorder promptly wrote down that King Taejong had fallen off his horse and how he told him strike the incident off the records. Another is when a UFO was witnessed on September 22, 1609 in Gangwon Province.

Also in the Annals of Joseon Dynasty are the mentions of a cryptid that appeared at the royal palace during King Jungjong’s reign.

In not so many words, the scholars told King Jungjong ‘you won’t believe this’ before letting him know of what they had heard.
