A list of puns related to "Sandy Johnson"
From the latest WOR around the 10-minute mark. Dave theorised it was either an honest mistake, or they figured no-one would notice.

Two guys meet, one American, a deserter from the US army, one Brit, and they are drawn together by their mutual love of Soul music. Neither being gainfully employed they decide to start a mobile disco service for fellow soul lovers, which leads them to buy an ice cream van, and the adventure begins. Before long they find themselves on the run from the bad guys and the police.
A fantastic TV movie in a similar humurous vein to the work of Alan Bleasdale and Auf Wiedersehen, Pet (the writer - Stan Hey - worked on that show...and Spender) about a couple of regular Joes going on a road trip of sorts. Along the way they bump into an assortment of familiar faces in the TV and comedy world of the 80's like Dougie Brown and Shake Hands, even Pete Postlethwaite steals a few scenes with a particularly seedy character and Peter Vaughan shows up as a violent hysterical gangster.
Lenny Henry brings a real charm and humour to his role, his onscreen partner doesn't quite match his energy or chemistry but he's supposed to be a bit moody.
So, a really fun road movie with some heart and a fantastic soundtrack of sunny soul music. Unfairly forgotten and only available as blurry VHS recordings; come on BBC, sort it out.
8/10

Did anyone hear what happened with this? Didn't see any news reports about it. I happened upon it at the corner of Johnson Ferry and Riverside Drive, just as the first responders were arriving. It involved at least three cars, of which at least one had been knocked upside down. Looked very bad, hope no one was seriously hurt.
Love to meet others and share storing, pix, etc.

Unsurprisingly, itβs a cagier start than the last fight when Parker was dropped in the opening 10 seconds. Joseph Parker is reprimanded for holding. Thatβs the most exciting thing that has happened in the first half of the round. Parker catches his man on the way in. Right-hand from the New Zealander lands on the temple of Chisora. Short left from Chisora, but Parker lands a big right that hurts the Londoner. Parker is ensuring that Chisora keeps his distance. Tough round for Del Boy.
Parker 10-9 Chisora
Dereck Chisora finally gets his man on the ropes and lands a right that gets the crowd going. Chisora jabs to the body. The overhand right from Chisora just misses. Parker is pushed back to the ropes, but he unloads on Chisoraβs chin. Right uppercut from Parker. Another uppercut from the New Zealander. Big right from Parker. They tie up, and itβs Chisora who does the better work from the clinch. However, Chisora looks exhausted already. Left hook from Parker hurts Chisora. Chisora is in trouble, but the bell helps him out.

It turned out to be a bit more of a struggle than I thought it was going to be, so I decided to simply sort it by WAR. Does that mean that sometimes a better player got left off the list for a player who simply had a longer career? Absolutely. But WAR is a nice simple stat. So, here's the list!

BOISE, Idaho β This article originally appeared in the Idaho Press.
A man died of cyanide poisoning in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Boise in 1982, where he left a note with his name signed on it. Only, Boise Police confirmed it wasnβt his real name β and the man is still unidentified to this day.
A national cyanide controversy from 1982, a priest murder, a cryptic note and a false identity are all part of the mysterious circumstances surrounding his death.
When nurse and church goer Virginia Almquist walked into Sacred Heart 39 years ago for mass on Dec. 3, she was approached by the church usher, Leo Leeburn, in a panic. His mother, Grace Leeburn, had discovered a dead man.
The man was found outside the confessional booth, face down and slumped over in the fifth pew. He was clean shaven with tan skin, sandy blonde hair, dressed in blue jeans, a green long-sleeved shirt accented with a turquoise bolo tie, a Seiko watch wrapped around his wrist, and cowboy boots fitted on his feet, according to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System. He was believed to be between 35-45 years old.
The tale of the mystery man in the church was re-told in the family often, said Almquistβs daughter, Sharon Job.
On that cold December day, Job said, Almquist reached down to take the manβs pulse but found there was none.
βHe was cold,β Job said.
Almquist rushed outside seeking Father Faucher, the priest at the time, who lived near the church.
On her way out, Almquist stopped Sister Mary Louise Deroin, who pulled up to Sacred Heart Church in her car for evening mass.
Deroin currently resides in Ventura, California, where she moved after retiring from being a Sister of the Holy Cross at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center.
βVirginia came out of the church and ran to the car before I could even get out. She told me that they had just noticed a man under a pew in the church,β Deroin told the Idaho Press in an interview. βShe told me he was dead because she checked him.β
Deroin bolted inside the rectory and called police.
βI didnβt have a chance to see him. I didnβt want to,β Deroin said.
On Dec. 20 1982, the church held a funeral service for the mystery man. He was laid to rest in a gray coffin.

The following have appeared at OSLs once before but have not released new material (not counting singles) since their previous appearance (list in parenthesis) and are therefore less likely to appear in 2022 (To date only Beck and Vance Joy have returned WITHOUT new material, making the following acts much less likely):

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Grease night! Here's the lineup, not in order:
These awards would not replace the CY Young and MVP award, but instead, be awarded in addition to the regular MVP and CY Young awards, but this one is given every 5 years acknowledging the best position player and the best pitcher of the last five years. (These Awards are for the entire league, not AL and NL).
What would these new awards be called?
I think they should be named after past players who were very good but didnβt play long enough to accumulate high counting stats. My MVP award will be called the Jackie Robinson Award (JRA). Jackie Robinson was great, but only played ten years, so his peak was essentially his entire career and therefore didnβt have the benefit of the last 5 or so years of his career to pad his counting numbers.Β (Iβm aware that the Rookie of the Year is technically named the Jackie Robinson Award, but no one calls it that and I think this award will be a better way to honor his legacy). My CY Young award will be called the Rube Waddell Award (RWA). If you havenβt read about Rube Waddellβs off-field (and oftentimes on-field) antics you really should. But when people talk about him, itβs usually about that and overlook his dominance. He had a 2.16 ERA over his 13-year career, but the big thing was that he was striking out guys before anyone else was, and led the league in strikeouts 6 times, reaching 300 strikeouts twice. Yet he never reached 200 wins (193), which was the most important stat for people back then. (I almost did Sandy Koufax, but I wanted someone from a long time ago who is overlooked.)
What if these awards existed throughout MLB history?
Because I value my time, I will not be looking at all of MLB history, just from 1960 on. And I would like to say that these opinions are my own, and if you disagree with a selection, please feel free to tell me why.Β Also, you have to play every year of the stretch.
1960-1964
JRA: Willie Mays
.308/.384/.589, 166 OPS+, 50 WAR,
50 WAR in 5 years is ridiculous. His chief competition was Henry Aaron, but he βonlyβ had 41 WAR in the same time frame. It feels weird to say, but I think Mays is underrated.
RWA: Sandy Koufax
ERA: 2.63, WHIP: 1.05, FIP: 2.45, ERA+ 136, 1 CYA
Sandy Koufax is one of the biggest what-ifs in MLB history. To illustrate just how dominant this run was, he had 27Β instances of black Ink in this stretch, (when you lead the league in a category it is shown in black ink).
1965-1969
JRA: Henry Aaron
.298/.370/.554, 160 OPS+, 41.9Β WAR
