Iβve an 8 hour flight tomorrow. Planning on starting a career with Salford City. Iβm new to the game. I have watch Zealands beginner videos. But if anyone has some cheap young beasts to buy. Please let me know! TIA
I've been trying to get back into doing open mic nights or proper jam nights that include singers, but can't find any these days besides Matt and Phreds in the city.
There used to be a few casual ones when I first moved to Manchester. I could just visit on the day, sign up, have a few drinks and chat with other musicians and perform. But they seemed to have disappeared now. The last one I went to this year wasn't even a real open mic. You had to book a slot weeks/ months in advance and be vetted and approved by the event manager. I'm not a bad performer, but part of the fun with open mics are how casual they are and no pressure. Great for trying new material.
Plus I couldn't chat to any other musicians, or my friends, as the audience had to be absolutely deathly still.
