I hope everyone are safe from the coronavirus and from the damned heatwave. I'm a foreign undergraduate International Relations student and I'm planning to study in Russia for the year 2022-2023 as I'm planning to specialize in either arms proliferation or the geopolitics of energy on the long term for which the Russian perspective is very important. Thus I wanted to ask if anyone here has an idea on the Saint Petersburg University and more precisely both its Social Sciences and International Relations departments.

I want to do a language exchange next summer (2019) at Saint Petersburg university and have some questions.

How do I sign up (the website is very vague and wants your visa dates, but I canβt get a visa without an invitation, Iβm confused)?
Am I better living in student accommodation or living with a family?
Do you have any tips on doing language courses?
