Correct me if I am wrong:

This is available in EU premium shop but not NA. I have not missed it; it's just not here yet?

Quick google did not show many reviews, perhaps some when it hits NA?

Any thoughts/links on it?

Imperator Nikolai I ship review

I'm aware I've missed some weeks, I'm still mustering the courage to do benham, but I'll do it next week. Maybe the week after. Sometime.

my stats

Games played: 24

WR: 25%

DR: 0.8%

Honestly I'm not very good with russian BBs, especially the gangut family which is why I haven't played many games with them. Lower tiers also aren't that interesting to me, so I didn't have much reason to play her other than simple enjoyment.

survivability

Credit where its due, you can tank a lot. You have decently high HP (28.7K), good torpedo protection (12%) and good F&F resistance (10%), but you have thin armour so you eat citadels from BBs and even the occasional CA that shows up at T5

score: 3/5

Manuverability

you're a brick. You have slow speed (22kts), slow turn speed (13.5s) and crappy acceleration (25s). In short you may be hard to dislodge from an objective, but you need to get there in the first place.

score: 1/5

main battery

Your advantages over gangut: you get a faster reload (22s vs 24s) and your X(?) Gun faces forwards, giving you better angles. Other than that you have worse damage (784/1165 vs 840/1210) and worse traverse (4Β° vs 5Β°)

In a vacuum you're just OK. Your dispersion is either pinpoint or a shotgun and I've always found the range to be lacking, which when combined with the slow speed makes it hard to get into range unless the enemy is headed towards you

score: 2/5

Secondaries

Again comparing to gangut, you have a longer reload (8s vs 6s) and shorter range (4.9km vs 5.3km), but do more damage (291 vs 269) and you have more secondaries overall (20Γ—1 vs 16Γ—1). In general I find them unreliable. You don't have the range to properly brawl or fend off DDs with them and they're so inaccurate im convinced the main gunnery shared a bottle of vodka with them before battle

Score: 1/10

AAA

The pros: you have AA

The cons: its a pair of drunks waving kalashnikovs at the planes and chipping the paint from the wings

score: 1/5

Concealment

You have 10km concealment and no way to improve it, which means get spotted from the moon and take a dozen shells to your broadside before you can manuver into a better position

score: 1/5

skin

I dont usually judge these, but holy hell art dept you knocked it out of the park. Her Halloween skin looks gorgeous.

score: 1000000/5

Playstyle

INI is a tank that can absolutely tank shots if you can properly position yourself, but be quickly punishe

The Freemium Review Nobody Asked for. (Imperator Nikolai I)

Hi everyone. I have returned with an other review .The Imperator Nikolai I is a tier 4 Soviet premium battleship. You can get right now in the hallowen event and it was also avaliable in the previous shipyard for 30 copper. So what do you get for 11,000 tokens and half your sanity?.You get arguably the best tier 4 BB in the game.No cap. I swear I wanted to review the Poltava which I just got (I will link below) but after playing the Emperor Nikolai I, I knew I needed to write a review for this ship (Also because I'm still not finished with playing the Poltave enough to give a solid review).

My stats:

AVG Damage: 31911

MVP Rate: 37.5%

Destruction Ratio: 3.50

The Imperator Nikolai I is a beast. Mostly because you face tier 4 noobs you can farm easier than tokens in hallowen events. Its shitty sigma is compensated by shell volume and solid armour. You will occasionally come across the clemson, Ceasere and againcourt seal clubbers who camp tier 5 because the are to scared to be spanked by Vermont AP. I wouldn't go as far as to say the ship is op. It is a capitalist Gangut that has now been made avaliable to the masses, and works with a communist mindset. You close the distance carefully, meaning don't yolo, You rip people apart with secondaries and
Main, (secondaries are surprisingly good).

If you see a ceasere or againcourt you run away with your 21 knots of speed and complain on reddit about Ceasere being broken(Seriously, that ship will rip you apart).Playing this ship for this review has been a blast and although I gave it a lot of crap being the only premium ship you could get this hallowen event, I say get it. It teaches you how to BB(for anyone who still dosent know). The tier is low enough that even when you mess up you have the ability to still carry the whole game and look like an absolute Chad in front of noob Dreadnought and wyoming players.

Final thoughts?

Although, I praised it so much, this ship is basically a whale's Gangut. I dare you to argue with me. I enjoy playing it a lot and the few changes make it worth playing. If course that dosent mean I will continue my USSR BB Grind (Pytor Veliky still haunts me) but after writing this review I doubt I will play it again. It simply is another low tier premium you grind for copper and forget about ( R.I.P Dunkerque). It still is a great ship to take out and club seals. It simply brings us back to a simpler time when out biggest problems weren't Roma and Richelieu snipping us to death or

Imperator Nikolai I

I've had a look at the specs for the Imperator Nikolai I, and it looks like the stats are pretty close to the Gangut, so I'm not sure whether it's worth getting during the event. It's not super difficult to get with a few wins a day so I guess it makes no real difference, but im not sure whether I should just get a Halloween crate key (or a few) and take a gamble on that. Problem is, I'll probably end up with a camo that I have no intention of using, or won't use for months (I'm not near those ships on any grinds).

Thoughts?
