A list of puns related to "Run And Gun Platform Game"
Hey wii faithfuls, just bought my first wii and I'm looking for awesome couch coop games to play with my roommate. I checked a few lists but most of them stick to the big obvious ones.
Can anyone recommend any great games we can begin our wii journey with?
I'm not counting Megaman, Metroid, Gun Hazard, Earthworm Jim, Star Wars, etc because you often do things other than shooting people.

Posting this again with more details. I'm trying to find an old game which I played on a Playstation 1/2. It's most likely doesn't have an English release (I had tried googling to no avail), and especially since the game not in English I'm only able to recall the gameplay.
You need to reload the gun, too. Thanks, I couldn't find it with my internet search engine.
I'm referring to games like Contra, Metal Slug, etc., maybe even extended to games like Super Turrican and Ghouls 'n Ghosts. This type of game typically always has a high difficulty factor. I was just watching some Cuphead impressions, and this newest entry in the genre appears to continue the trend... which got me wondering... are there ANY that AREN'T super challenging?
Or to put it another way, which (well regarded) games in this genre would you say lean closest to the easier side of the spectrum, relatively?

It's been 2 months or more since I posted here and the reason is towards the end of last year I was contemplating taking a break or quitting the game. I decided to see where the game stood at the end of 2019 and after the thoroughly disappointing Frostnite event it became clear it was time to cut back. I played in January just to get everything from the event and sparingly in early February to help my son do his Canny quest line.
I haven't logged in since a few days before 12.0 and most log ins for the preceding weeks were to collect daily rewards because you know after 600 days logged in I needed that 20 gold to top off the 260ish thousand I have. A few days prior to 12.0 I finally decided it was time to move on. The 12.0 Homebase Status report reaffirmed my decision and after watching the normal streams on Twitch there is no doubt I cannot play this game, as it is, anymore.
For nearly two years I played STW 4-5 days a week. It was an amazing game that led me to meet some really amazing people. After reaching max level, long before the XP boost and x-ray llamas, I was ready for the end game. Frostnite 2018 was the first event that I was ready for at 131 and fortunately I found a few other good players and we cleared it multiple times. I went on to play with those guys and a few others for the next couple of months almost every day. We beat Endurance as well but that's when things started to turn. After Endurance there were no good Tower Defense modes. It was run and gun modes like Hit the Road then most recently Dungeons. During that time most of the people I played with regularly started cutting back and most eventually took extended or permanent breaks.
The main culprit was the lack of anything interesting to do coupled with AFKing for rewards. We took turns running Endurance and joining each other to accrue "free" rewards while others did the same in War Games. Next up was stall building, which made the game even more boring but considering the piss poor farming rates for tier 5 crafting resources and mediocre rewards it was the only viable way to consistently play higher Twine group missions.
Along the way I trudged through the mind numbing fetch quests, which almost always had nothing to do with the actual mission they were completed in, just to get tickets to open RNG llamas. Sometimes the RNG was good and other times it was awful. Eventually I just blew through them in low Stonewood missions just to get them finished as fast as possible. I did

Trying to remember a game where you ran north, either in a. Tank or not I can't recall, but you ran north attacking bases and shooting guys and buildings. You could collect power ups to upgrade your gun. It was not a flight game for sure but a ground game
To start off, yes I understand differences in opinion of what counts as what for terminology. One man's rushing isn't the same as another's, same with camping.
However, I think that difference is a large part of the reason why some people are struggling to run and gun.
I've only just gotten started on the Beta late today. Saw all of the Reddit posts and complaints elsewhere about people struggling to run and gun, was anxious to see what it was all about. For context I've been playing since MW1, and I've played in a lot of different play styles. Started off as a hardcore camper because my friends only played hardcore and I had barely played any FPSs before so I had no aim and would sit in one area all game. Got better in MW2 and became more of a tactical/lock down a lane player with a mix of running and gunning. Got more and more running and gunning style up until about Ghosts, then I started developing arthritis and couldn't keep up with the advance movement style of running and gunning. As long as I don't have to add in a bunch of movement options on top of my rushing I can still do it, if I have to add a bunch of movement options to move around the map I'm probably back in lane patrolling.
As quickly as my second game in this Beta however, I was hitting a 2.0 K/D while trying to push running and gunning as far as I could to see how much of the complaints were valid. Remember, I don't have create a class at this point, I'm using the default AUG class on top of my arthritis so my reaction time is physically capped and I can't ever improve it beyond that cap.
Quite frankly, I think the people who are struggling to run and gun in this Beta are the people who haven't ever really done running and gunning. Not that they were camping, quite far from it. I think they were rushing in the previous CoDs and that's what's throwing them off. Its not really their fault either.
This Beta is the first time in a long time, where CoD has actually let you properly flank while running and gunning. BO4, WW2, BO3, IW: all of those games don't let you have the space you need to properly flank. You have lanes and cutbacks yes, but they were mostly small and designed to force head to head engagements. When you have map design like that you can't run and gun, you can only rush. When you're rushing you're using your reflexes to carry you. Positioning is lessoned (not removed) in importance, its all about abusing advanced movement options + reflexes. Ideally with proper

Do we know anything about the Oculus Quest and its compatibility with non-Oculus store games? This headset is sounding incredible, but I'm concerned about being able to use non-Oculus store stuff (IE Steam), development builds of software (IE wanting to support the development of something cool on Kickstarter or Patreon), and censorship for adult simulations/games/content (because let's face it, that's something that is really cool in VR that sex-positive people including myself enjoy).
Do we know yet if it will be possible to load any VR app onto the headset? Or is it going to be locked-down to the store? I greatly enjoy that I can play anything I want on my Oculus Rift; will this be a feature of the Quest?
Personally mine would be the P90. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the P90 could hold up even at relatively longer ranges. Not to mention itβs overall speed and mobility for closer engagements.
My five attachments would likely be the Stippled Grip Tape one the front and rear grips (1 and 2), the FORGE TAC Retribution Barrel (3), the Fly Strap Stock (4), and the Monolithic Suppressor (5) as my last attachment.
How about you guys?
The latest culprit is Far Cry 5. I love the game, and it runs like a beast, but it will randomly lock up, specifically when I reach what would have been a significant check point. I have read about rolling back the drivers, but when I do that, my system does not even recognize the video card. I have been gaming on PC since the old 486, but I'm getting more and more inclined to just buy PS4 games because I know they will work right out of the box.
