Oit by myself yesterday just a short video of the Ruger super blackhawlk with .44 special, then .44mag 240 grain, and .44mag 305 grain last round. I shot 15 of the 305 grain bear loads yesterday and 30 240 grain 44 mag loads. A few specials. I really like the 305 grain rounds they are very accurate. v.redd.it/u7p5bero12181

I have been doing some reading recently on the topic and I was just wondering. I'm about to start a run of 44 mag soon, and some people I know don't like .44mag smokeless loads. I'm curious as to your experience and results with certain powder types. I'm aware of what not to do but are there any really useful obscure tips or tricks compared to smokless?

Ruger Redhawk 4.2“ or Super Redhawk Alaskan, .44 mag for bear defense
Anyone who has shot or owns both, which one would you recommend? Personally I would go for the Redhawk in 4.2“, slightly longer sight radius and less muzzle flash (I‘ve heard). I do like the look of the SRA though and the short barrel might pulling it from the holster slightly faster.

For a small revolver, S&W Model 60 J frame 2" or Ruger GP 100 3"? Both in .357 Magnum, but the Ruger is a 6 round cylinder, while the S&W is a 5 round cylinder. Are there any reliability issues with either?

Owners of the Ruger SR1911 Officers model in .45 ACP What has been your experience?
I'm thinking of picking up the Ruger 3.6 to replace my current Kimber Ultra Carry. I know that the short 1911s are usually very problematic. My Kimber and my Desert Eagle have ben fine but it's early (200 rounds or so, the Kimber had some problems due to the garbage magazine.
Thinking of moving to something more reliable for EDC, and I cant really go over 3.5 or so.
Ruger seems to be getting good reviews but would love to hear some real world experience from owners. Thank you
