A list of puns related to "Rté Two"

EDIT: TL:DR: We've learnt nothing, this is a similar situation to pre-Christmas when we demanded everything be reopened and then numbers shot up. We're about two months away from being in a position where things will be close to normal and we risk fucking it up because we're impatient. Also I'm not a Bootlicker, I voted Soc Dems in the GE (Y)
It's honestly like we've learnt absolutely nothing in the little over a year since Lockdown first started. Lately all I see are people bitching and moaning about lockdown and how the Government is to blame for everything and that it's not the public's fault at all and that the 5km is a load of crap and how we need to reopen etc. We literally were saying the same thing back at Christmas and what happened when we opened up? People went out to pubs and met up in large groups (ignoring the advice at the time) and pretended that Covid didn't exist. Within 3 weeks our Covid numbers shot up and the hospitals couldn't cope, we heard that they were close to having to decide who would get life support equipment and who we would let die. And instead of people saying "I shouldn't have met up with all those people" it was "The Government shouldn't have let us open up". But here we are 3 months later, demanding them to open up again and ignoring guidelines.
Everyone gave out about the airports being open but when they tried to close flights from the UK at Christmas what did everyone do? Rebooked their flight to take their relative through NI instead. There was legit no point in stopping flights before now because the UK fucked up everything about Covid apart from their vaccination programme which they've taken risks on (speeding up the approval, using a longer time between initial vaccine and booster than what was tested) and suddenly all we're doing is comparing ourselves to them. It's no coincidence that once the UK introduced the hotel quarantine that we were quick to follow. In context of the EU our vaccine numbers are doing well and the real issue is supply at the min (and wanks like the Beacon CEO)
The 5km rule is in place because when we were asked to stick to our counties we all decided "fuck that, it doesn't apply to me" and we all fucked off around the country anyway, meeting up with people. We were giving out that no one was enforcing it but now that the Guards are enforcing it, we're moaning that we're getting fined. I remember the 1st lockdown people actually made an effort to not meet up, social contacts wer
