A list of puns related to "Royal Enfield"
my neighbor has the same bike, whenever he comes late at night that annoying sound wakes me up with chills. Canβt even feel how older people would react to this same situation.
edit : almost everyone here has the same opinion Κβ’Μα΄₯β’ΜΚγ£
I mean there are many different Indian brands like TVS, Hero, Bajaj etc. But still I see the love for a Royal Enfield bike, which is probably more than any other brand.
Usually, when we talk about any other thing like PC or Phone or Cars or any other hardware, we tend to go for foreign brands.
So I feel Royal Enfield is an exception that we are appreciating our own brand.
Is it just because it has a different look & feel and build quality? Or is there any other reason too?
I'm in the states and I just started hearing about these bikes. All the reviews on them I've seen are positive so I have a few questions.
Is this a good first bike?
How reliable is it I had a mechanic tell me that they were "crap" and break down all the time I did not get one however I know motorcyclists can be very chauvinistic about types of bikes.
I really want to get this bike and a year or so and just hit the road I know it's not a touring bike so I'm not going to be taking the freeways I'm going to be exploring the US on the back roads.
I like the strip down yellow color and I'm thinking just an aftermarket windshield.
Opinions?
Need help, I have a classic 500 that came in not running, I was able to have it running turns out the fuel pump relay is bad, battery is bad, spark plug is bad.
The bike will start but die after about 30sec and with back fires.
Coil is good there is spark coming out of plugs New spark plug New gasoline
I am thinking it is the map sensor but there is no black smoke coming out. Tps is on correct setting Also if the sensor is faulty there should be check engine light.
What could be the cause of backfire and and stalling?
Hello fellow biking community,
Just hoping to get some tips and tricks. I've finally checked something of my bucket list and have picked up my first ever motorcycle. I've booked in some classes to learn how to ride and have got most of my gear sorted (helmet, jacket and gloves only, will get my pants and boots later)..
Any tips on how to break the bike in? Or tips on maintenance and stuff like that for the RE?
Cheers, Beardedbikertobe
Hey. So I booked a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 at the start of September at the RE showroom in Kattupakkam. During the booking they said theyβd try to give me the bike within a month, yet failed to do so. On my booking receipt my tentative delivery date was given as December 3rd. However a week before the expected delivery date, the showroom called and told me that theyβre closing down and shifting all orders to Perungudi. Calling up the Perungudi guys, theyβre telling me that once they get my booking details, theyβll register it as a new booking from their showroom, which will have me waiting another 3 months for the bike. Iβm so pissed off at this point, but Iβm waiting patiently because this is my first bike and Iβve had my eyes on it for 4 years now. Does anyone know a fast moving RE showroom in Chennai, or one that, at the very least, doesnβt scam their customers?
Tuesday night 21/12/12 between 7pm and 8am my Royal Enfield 350 Meteor was stolen from outside my friends flat in front of the New Islington Apartment Block in Manchester M4 6BY. I'm 99% sure the steering lock was on so I imagine it was lifted into the back of a van though it's possible it was driven away.
I realise I'm already a bit late posting this, but I'm hopeful. There are so few of these bikes on the road in the uk and all very new so no one wants to buy parts. It's probably one of VERY few with ~4500 miles on the clock too. Please share this if you can or spend your bored lunch break at work surfing your favourite second hand bike/parts site. If you see ANYTHING please let me or the police know.
It's also got minor crash damage to the right hand side (brake lever, mirror, bar end, exhaust) and is a fireball yellow model but both of these could be easily solved before illegal sale. Even if it can't be found please share and up vote this to put the fear of God into these bastards and make them too scared to sell. Currently no second hand spares available and no bikes with over 1000miles so we stand a good chance of catching them or forcing them to scrap it.
Please take 5 mins out of your day to look when you're already searching for your new purchase (as we all do occasionally).
I have sent an email to RE asking if they would be able to track if someone was stupid enough to connect their phone to the Bluetooth but I'm also open to any suggestions on finding my baby.
Reward of Β£3000 if we get the bastards Β£1000 reward if the bike is found but no one can be made to suffer
Registration is PG21 KTE. VIN: ME3DJEMT5MV004108 ENGINE NO: J3A5FFM2082937
EDIT: photo attached. Unfortunately a Polaroid which doesn't even have the number plate in but all my other photos of the bike were on a phone that died last month. Would also like to take this opportunity to encourage people to chain bikes down and cover them! Photo
UPDATE: 5 mins ago I had a call from GMP. Apparently my bike has been found with a stash of other stolen bikes and they've even nicked a few of the bastards! I love you greater Manchester Police! Hoping the bike is at least rideable
The title says it all. I need something a go to person for things like tire changes, check ups, etc. The dealership I'm going to to get all of my work done is a little too pricey!
This is going to be my first ever royal enfield. Please give me some do's and donts of owning an Enfield, some tips, warnings and maintainence tips
Royal Enfield brake upgrade fitted to my 650 Interceptor for the past several months:
Four piston Brembo P4 -34 calliper, Brembo 330mm rotor, and Brembo RCS15 master cylinder. Much better leverage and feel from the adjustable ratio, radial master cylinder, 20.2% greater piston area in the calliper, and a 3.125% increase in brake torque from the rotor alone!. A huge improvement. I had to design and machine a few parts to make it work, and made a few extra

So basically dealership is costing some 5k costlier than the price showing in the app, the main difference being the insurance charges quoted by the dealership. Which way should I choose to book my bike?
I ended up with an extra set of these and figured someone here may be interested in a deal. I'm looking to get $50 shipped within the U.S.
They are Brand New / Unused.
