A list of puns related to "Roy Porter"
Madness a brief history by Roy porter Urgently need a copy.
Who is your favorite former boxer commentator out of this poll and why? Mines is Timothy Bradley; because he is insightful and has a lot of enthusiasm.
I know this is more of an off-season style post, but I figured it might help to take the pain off of the current reality of the team. What is your All-Time Blazers roster? List your coach, starting 5, 8 bench players (listed roughly in the order you would give them playing time). Rules:
Here's my roster. I won't claim to be an expert or basketball aficionado, so feel free to rip it apart:
Coach: Rick Adelman
Starting 5:
Bench:
Who do you got?
Edit: Swapped Rasheed and Cliff to 2 and 7 on the bench, respectively, because I got called out and Intelligent_Water524 is right.
As the title states "Which boxers share an unlikely resemblance in terms of styles"? We often compare contemporary boxers to their predecessors. As such it is not unlikely to make comparisons to their styles. We have heard countless comparisons of Tyson Fury to Ali or Dave Allen to Roy Jones Jr /s.
However, what about the other side of the coin? Comparison that will have people questioning you eyesight. These are boxers in which people will call you crazy for even thinking about mentioning a resemblance or are comparisons that are rarely made regarding them. Either way, these are boxers styles are so uncanny that when analysed it is impossible to be unseen.
Here's my list of delusion;
Juan Diaz and Teofimo Lopez- Lopez is a more athletic and slightly more polished version of Diaz
Terence Crawford and Juan Marquaz- Crawford is a switch hitting Marquaz
Shawn Porter and Joe Calzaghe and Chris Eubank Sr- Porter entering range and in-fighting, clinching and shot selection remind me of Calzaghe, whilst his footwork outside of range and exiting of exchanges reminds me of Chris Eubank Sr
Bonus: Shawn Porter, Joe Calzaghe and Josh Taylor have near identical in-and-out feints
What are yours?
I was curious to see who was the best player born on each day of the year. It turned out to be a bit more of a struggle than I thought it was going to be, so I decided to simply sort it by WAR. Does that mean that sometimes a better player got left off the list for a player who simply had a longer career? Absolutely. But WAR is a nice simple stat. So, here's the list!
January
February
March
April
Always thought that this would be a great matchup, who do you think would win?
Howdy! Welcome to Day 23 of the r/indieheads Album of the Year 2021 Write-Up Series, our annual event where we showcase pieces from some of our favorite writers on the subreddit talking about their favorite records of the year! Today, we have u/AbeFroman1123 on Black Midi's Cavalcade.
Background by u/AbeFroman1123:
black midi are a British experimental/post-punk/math rock band that formed in the mid-2010s in Croydon, a major suburb of London. Comprising Geordie Greep (vocals/guitar), Cameron Picton (bass/vocals), Morgan Simpson (percussion), and the currently-on-hiatus Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin (guitar/vocals), the boys from black midi met while attending the BRIT School, known for producing talented musicians as diverse as King Krule and Adele. Following a residency at esteemed London venue The Windmill, word of the bandβs frenetic live performances and unconventional tunes began to spread like wildfire, leading to a performance with legendary krautrocker Damo Suzuki and a feature on Seattleβs KEXP music network. A record deal with Rough Trade soon followed, along with a slew of hype-building singles, before finally, in June of 2019, the group released their seismic debut record. Schlagenheim was an immediate oddity, captivating listeners with Greepβs unusual vocal style and the chaotic virtuosity displayed in everyoneβs performances. The album catapulted black midi to the forefront of the London indie scene, a position that has led to a steadily increasing global presence. Earlier this year the band announced that Kwasniewski-Kelvin would be taking a sabbatical to focus on his mental health, and that their highly anticipated sophomore album would be dropping in May. Preceded by a handful of left-field promotional singles and a string of performances with an expanded line-up (featuring Seth Evans on keys and Kaidi Akinnibi on saxophone), Cavalcade was released on May 26th, a few days before its announced release date. Mostly abandoning the noisy-yet-rhythmic post-punk of their debut, this album chooses instead to go in aβ¦weirder direction.
Writeup by u/AbeFroman1123:
Prologue: Puh-LEASE, Mr. Post-Punk
black midi often gets grouped in with the post-punk scene, and for good reason. Schlagenheim borrowed heavily from the progenitors

Other than that we rank the teams the same way as our competition. If write ups are left blank the team rep decided not to submit. We are still looking for Lakers and Pelicans reps. See their comment box in the table to apply. We encourage any user to fill in the blanks in the comment section. Rankings were supposed to be completed prior to today's games.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
This is part one of this list. This list is based off of accomplishments in the NBA (or ABA), not college or international leagues. Please let me know of any mistakes or if I missed something.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Last September, Ukrainian boxing sensation Oleksandr Usyk went from former undisputed cruiserweight champion to capturing Anthony Joshua's 4 heavyweight belts. He did what many in the boxing world thought was impossible against the bigger and supposedly stronger man, turning the tables on Anthony Joshua and many of his doubters to become only the third person in history to go from cruiserweight to heavyweight champion. I'm Thomas 'Teekay' Kendell and welcome to my breakdown of Usyk's exceptional performance over Matchroom's flagship fighter and give some much deserved praise to a much more than average southpaw.
Oleksandr 'The Cat' Usyk
Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Usyk is one of the greatest fighters currently in boxing today. He possesses one of the greatest ever amateur records of 335 wins against just 15 defeats where he beat many top fighters such as Sergiy Derevyanchenko, Badou Jack, Shawn Porter and Artur Beterbiev. He was in Simferopol in the Crimean Oblast of Ukraine at thatΒ time part of the Soviet Union. He was born on January 17th, the same day as his idol Muhammad Ali and often wears the number 17 'for luck'. A talented footballer, spent time at his local team Tavriya Simferopol before switching to boxing aged 15. After capturing a gold medal at the 2008 European Amateur Boxing Championships as a light heavyweight and gold medals at the 2011 World Championships and 2012 Olympics both as a heavyweight, Usyk finally turned professional in 2013 aged 26 with high expectations of the outstanding amateur could achieve. He signed with K2 Promotions, the promotional company of former heavyweight world champion brothers Wladimir and Vitaliy Klitschko. After 4 modest opening fights, Usyk would win his first title, stopping Daniel Bruwer in the 7th round to win the WBO interim international title at cruiserweight before claiming the full title by his 6th fight. After 3 successful defences, Usyk would go on to beat undefeated champion Krzysztof GΕowacki to win his first world title inside 10 pro fights, comfortably winning a unanimous points decision on Polish soil. After successful defences against Thabiso Mchunu and Michael Hunter, Usyk would take part in the World Boxing Super Series to determine the undisputed champion at cruiserweight. Usyk defeated Marco Huck in the quarter final before unifying in a closely fought bout with Mairis Breidis to win a razor close majority decision, with the judges just favouring Usyk's work rate over Breidis' harder p

Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual

We told her she can lean on us for support. Although, we are going to have to change her driver's license, her height is going down by a foot. I don't want to go too far out on a limb here but it better not be a hack job.
Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.
