A list of puns related to "Rotterdam University Of Applied Sciences"
So basically I got admitted to both uni. In the Hague, I applied to Bachelor of International Business Communication and for Rotterdam, it's International Business. So international students & students studying in Holland or either of this school, which one should I choose? (I haven't had any fixed opinion on either of these yet). Thanks a lot
I'm putting together a to-do list in preparation for university. I have some questions regarding;
Pet policy: I wasn't able to find this on their website or anything. Are pets allowed on campus? And if so are there limitations?
I heard the Dutch love the bicycle for getting around, should I buy a car assuming I have the money? I'll be living on campus but I'll use it to travel to other cities. Or does a monthly bus fare cover that?
I want to be able to earn some spending money, is it difficult for a non-Dutch speaker to land a part time job as a student? I love the Dutch language and if I need it I'll gladly learn it if it makes it easier.
That's all I can think of for now. Answers greatly appreciated, thank you! c:
EDIT: if not a car, would a motorcycle be a good idea? It's a lot cheaper than a car and would give me more freedom of transportation. Grocery shopping wouldn't be too much of a hassle if it's not a long distance from the student housing right?
Hi all! I would just like to ask for your feedback if the RUAS is a good school to study in for a master's degree in accounting and finance? I have a international bachelor's diploma and unfortunately it's not enough for a research uni...any take on the RUAS?
Thanks so much! :)
I am a senior year high school student from Bulgaria. I am currently considering to continue my education in the Netherlands. I am interested in studying International Business and Economics. An agency I am going to apply through mentioned AVANS as being one of the most prestigious universities in the Netherlands for Business management. I would like to know more about the university. Is it really that prestigious as the agency claims? What's the quality of education there? Are there a lot of international students?
Are they really that bad? I'm from Croatia and I'm planning to study ICT at Fontys next fall. I wasn't aware of it being a lesser education than uni and now I'm kinda nervous.
I was recently accepted and was wondering if anyone could give some information on what classes are like and their real world application

I (non-European) work full time outside of Europe. Iβm looking for an online MBA and saw this International University of Applied Sciences and they offer a 12-month online MBA but Iβd only be interested if the school is legitimate and its degrees respected.
Alternatively, are there other online programs I should consider.
Edit: thank you for all the responses. Based on all the suggestions, I donβt think this will be good pursuit. It was attractive though being 1/5 of the price of a different program I wanted to pursue with a UK university. The UK Universityβs Β£10,000 fee for an online degree was beyond me which is why I considered this as an alternative. Thank you for all your inputs and suggestions. Iβll keep searching or just wait until I can put the funds together. Itβs better to wait than to spend what is available on a degree that will not be of value.
I plan to study bsc in applied computer science in this school next year.
Thanks very muchοΌ
I noticed some bad reviews in Google.π₯²But I did not have enough budget for bachelor and master education. Therefore, I plan to jump into the job market after graduation.
Is there anyone who can give me some advice. Thanks so much!
In Suriname we have these Universities of Applied Sciences or Vocational Universities; hoger beroepsonderwijs (hbo) or hogeschool in Dutch. They are quite the popular choice for certain subjects; rather than studying at the university itself. I dare to say that there are more students studying at various hbo-institutions than the number of students at our university. Though, for some studies you can only attend the university and not hbo. The education combines teaching of both practical skills and theoretical expertise. It can be contrasted with education in a usually broader scientific field, which may concentrate on theory and abstract conceptual knowledge; a.k.a. university. They grant professional degrees like Bachelors and Masters degrees, but no Doctorate (for this you need a university).
This system seems to be popular in many Northern, Western and Southern European countries. In the Netherlands and Belgium people with a hbo Bachelors or Masters degree are preferred more than those who have a similar degree, but from a university. In those countries university graduates have to be payed more than hbo-students, but usually the latter mostly have more experience in the field and require lesser pay. They already applied the practical skills during their studies and they also need to complete an internship in order to graduate. University graduates in certain fields, often complain they lose out on hbo-students and then lie on their resume that they have a hbo degree; which can cause big problems for their company in those countries.
So does your country have a similar system and are they a popular choice with many?
Hi everyone! I'm currently a high school student (non-EU/EEA) planning on applying for a bachelor program at HAN University of Applied Sciences. One of the required documents is the certificate/diploma of my previous education. It's kind of tricky here because the application deadline is on April 1 (I'm applying for a scholarship so the deadline is a bit ahead), which means I have not yet graduated high school by the time (I expect to get my diploma by July) and only got the first semester's transript. I have looked up some alternative documents that may be acceptable but couldn't find any information on the school's website.
So if anyone have ever applied for a bachelor program at HAN, please let me know if I can do anything to fix this. My high school diploma is comparable to a HAVO diploma, which is acceptable.
Also, good maths grades are part of the requirements. So I'm wondering which level is considered good here, is an average point of 7-8 (on a scale of 1-10) okay?
Thank you all in advance!

Hello, i am starting my first semester at dalhousie university this winter term. Could anybody help me out with the courses i need to take to make my first semester go smooth and the list of free electives that i should be taking as a bachelor of applied computer science student.
Hello , I'm from Italy and thinking of taking the Computer Science undergrad with the University of Applied Sciences in Germany (online www.iu-university.org). Has anyone done a degree there that can pitch in on their personal experience? or is it just a scam?
I am seriously thinking to apply.
Thanks
Hi
I applied to Winter 2022 intake of Master of Applied Computer Science at Concordia University on June 1st . After 3 months I still haven't received any update from the University.
Wondering if anyone else has gotten an admit for the Winter 2022 intake of the same program ?
Would be really nice to hear from admits of Concordia University about their final decisions of admission .
So the worst scenario possible happened to me... i actually got a scholarship for my dream university. i would be excited if it was a normal colledge where i just do my thing and meet people only if i feel like it but no. its a university of applied sciences where we are a normal school class and have to do projects weekly that make us spend horrendous amounts of extra time in workshops all together. why would i be stupid enough to even think about going there? because its a great university and its my dream subject and graduates from this university normally end up in high paid jobs... but i know exactly how the next years are going to be. im gonna be the quiet awkward one whos gonna get all the shit all the time because thats what we do with people that are not the usual and as much as i would like to believe that its a new start or something like that i know 100% that its gonna be exactly this again. so im asking you about your simular expiriences? how did you keep your mental health up if everyone shows you how worthless you are? how do i hussle through this without turning completly insane? how can i sleep without laying awake 5 hours every night? anything is appreciated:/
Hello guys, I have found I can still apply to one or two Universities of Applied sciences for winter october, and I wanted to ask some advice about the future:
I donβt intend doing a master after the bachelor and would like to find a job as soon as I finish a bachelor in University of Applied sciences. But I read somewhere that without a master itβs hard in Germany so
Is the bachelor from University of Applied Sciences fully recognized? If I want to get a job abroad after graduating from FH, is a bachelor from FH recognized abroad as well?
Thank you in advance for your kind advices!
So basically since I've been a kid I was interested in programming and wanted to pursue a career in Cs. Now is the time to apply to universities and I need to decide between 2 in Germany. Of the 2 universities one is a university of applied sciences or how we call them "Fachhochschule" which has a curriculum that interests me quite a bit more. These UoAS are neither universities nor vocational schools think of it as a type of education in-between that awards the same bachelor as a university. I'm just scared I will lower my employability chances and or general worth to employers by getting a degree In this type of uni. Anyone have any experiences regarding UoAS?. Am desperate thank you.
