I don’t know what speed test app should I trust. I feel like rootmetrics is so inaccurate. Same location. No movement reddit.com/gallery/qezusn

Article: RootMetrics reports Verizon has the best overall network in the first half of 2021

bull crap... this is one app I run on all my phones and I use it often on the Verizon network to test, esp. in my worst areas for speed and coverage. Then I open the app and it says speeds are high, while I'm barely getting 1 Mbps and I come back and test through the week, still slow, yet RootMetrics says it is average 50 Mbps location. Never seen it even using 2 different Verizon phones. The only reason I use RootMetrics app is because it seems somebody at Verizon reads them. I also run Ookla and the FCC speed test app, not surprisingly RootMetrics always reads better than the other 2 with speed measurement. So, bull crap.

Looks like AT&T has outpaced Verizon across the board in Maine according to RootMetrics, feels crazy looking back at how horrible the network was here at home in Calais and much of the state back when Cingular deployed it compared to how well it’s matured now from personal experience

RootMetrics Accuracy

I was looking at RootMetrics speed maps for downtown Salt Lake, which also has tons of mmWave, and some of the fastest speeds are labeled as LTE. Is it possible that it’s CBRS or would it be mmWave that’s just showing as LTE? The speeds were around 1.2 Gbps
